I thought I remember seeing something about the AM button plate sticking out too far. Do I need to "thin" it a little or was I imagining I read that post? Also on the other ab section buttons is it OK to attach the buttons directly or do they need to be placed on a scap piece of ABS then attached?

Good deal... I knew I still need to trim up on the wrist some more, but I assumed that there was more of a return on the elbox.. good to know I can shave a bit more off there as well

I thought that it looked like it might be low, but I wasnt sure. So the gap between forearmm and bicep is good plus not to mentionit allows for a little more freedom of movement.. Thanks

I am not sure if I should have posted this here or in my build thread (I kinda thought it might get over-looked there) I thought I would ask if I have the arms looking anywhere close to the way they should and if the positioning is even on the way to the ball park. Better to be safe prior to trying to attach snaps or doing anything else for that matter..

Thanks Panda as always... Ironically I am looking at your AM build thread right now trying to keep myself from making a mistake...

I have been using E6000 for my build, but now that I am attaching the straps that connect from the chest plate does everyone switch to ABS glue to attach theses? Or just keep going with the E6000? Seems like its not going to be easy to rough up the chest plate for the extra grip without damaging areas I wouldnt want to.

OK here is my latest update pics.... My bucket is complete (i did have to remove the milliput, it never did set up) Going to have to re-think my interior padding. I bought the military helmet padding and with it in my eyes are almost down to my frown.. I couldnt wait to get it on..

OK now that I am officially back to work on my armor thought I would take a few pics and put em up.. I added some miliput to tap for my lens install. Its Tuesday and for some odd reason it still hasnt set up. May have to pull this out and try it again.. Glad I checked it before I decided to paint it.. I decided this set of armor I would work from the forearms up then go from the chest down. Now that the forearms have set for a a day I plan removing the wrist return tonight, then moving on to the biceps. I cant say it enough I really enjoy not having to paint this time around..

I shall redouble my efforts......

Thanks for the reception back.. Yeah this was my most difficult move ever, Murphys law was in full effect, from the closes being a mess to the hot water tank sprining a leak the day after we moved in. (Really digging that Home Warranty we made em add in) Getting back to work on my armor this weekend has been long overview due....

Now that I am back working on everything again, what is the prevailing thoughts for the front and back. Should I attempt making a recess and placing some plexi-glass or similar material in?

Hey everyone..It has been a while since I have posted on here. My move is done, and 2-months later we have started to get the new house looking more like a house and not a storage building with beds... Boy was I naive to think that we would have the house unpacked in a couple of weeks and I could jump right back into armor building. I have set this coming Saturday as my get back to work day.. So posts, pics, and tons of questions will sure to be flying from me any day now.

Well since my close is supposed to be on Tuesday; I more than likely will not be able to do anything else till the move is done. Thought I would snap a couple of pics of the rework I have done on my bucket prior to boxing it for the move. Still have to work on the ear stripes, and figure out which way I want to mount my lenses and add the mesh and padding. I might do another touch-up coat on the interior but not sure if it really needs it or not..

OK I have tried looking at some pictures, and I thought that there was something on here about it, however, I cant find it. Anyways are the ears supposed to be straight up and down (give or take) like in this picture or should the be rotated a little more forward like the arrow is supposed to be showing. I hope you understand what I was trying to get across with the arrows... thanks

My bad I was actually talking about the upper ammo belt that attaches to the canvas belt. Thankfully the AM comes already cut on the knee belt..

OK I know there is a thread some where on here, I just can't find it here, or in my favorites list. What is the angle on the cuts and the ends of the belt? Is it 90* and how far back from the ends do you start. I remember seeing it just cant seem to track it back down (there was even a picture).....

Well I couldnt wait any longer. I still have a few weeks before I can really get to work on it but I had to get it unwrapped....

Im got this helmet from the for sale thread here, I think its made of Glossy HIPS, anyone got any good suggestions for paint removal for that? I have read on here about the Oven cleaner thought about trying that. I looked at everything Lowes and Home depot had, obviously nothing that didnt have but stuff for plastic. I guess I need to stop by a hobby shop and see if I can maybe dig something up there..

OK one more thing to get off the check list... My scratch build holster..I used the templates I found on here. Only thing left is to attach the flap, Ill do that as soon as I get the E11 finished; just so I get a really good fit to match.... decided to make things hard on myself, first time using a sewing machine on top of that doing leather,still surprised I managed to do it without bleeding...

I know how the holster is to attach for ANH. The question I have is that would using a Chicago screw/post screw in place of an actual rivet on the belt portion acceptable for EIB? This would make removing the holster from the belt a whole lot easier should I need to remove it for whatever reason. IE mod minor, repair, etc. I have read about people using them on here for other things, I cant remember if I saw it for the holster to belt connection..

I have been wanting to get on here for the past week, however, I havent been able to till now.. Busy packing and moving.. Well my AM arrived last week safe and sound.. This is the armor I was looking for... I now have an official ETA on my close so I have started planning so I can have then entire month of December to put some serious hours in on my new AM. Hopefully I will be able to get done and do my part to add another EIB prior to the end of the year. I am going to be working on my scratch built/resin E11,Helmet Electronics and Interior of my bucket while the majority of my tools and works space is unavailable for the next 3 weeks... Here are a few pics of a bucket I picked up off the for sale board here. As I said I am going to finish the interior as its undone. Replace the lenses with flat green ones and add the mesh. If you guys see anything else that I should address I am always open for the direction.
