  1. I really don't see any point to your posts Vern?

Instead of criticising our efforts and being bitter that we have tried to offer slightly more accurate template than your efforts 2 years ago. How about helping and getting the exact measurement of the folding stock and coming up with a viable solution to make the the best template ever. This is a fun place and we are trying to better it in terms of accuracy for pipe builds.

They are never going to be definitively accurate and people here I very much doubt will have access to metal folding tools and welding equipment. The term "Best Templates ever" isn't there to belittle anyone's previous efforts.

We are not encouraging working guns. Just accurate E11s.

    :duim: +1

  2. Great Shots :Laser: really nice details there :) It'd be really cool to make a functioning folding stock.

Would it be possible to see in focus shots of this. -------

It sounds like it is a very important detail in the function of the stock, and might help Lucas out in making the plans :)

  3. would someone also be able to clarify with me what is different from the ANH E-11? There are just some small details that I am not quite sure about, as there are not many reference pics floating around. Pictures of the differenct would help :)

I know there is no counter, and the scope is an M19..

  4. ok guys,

I want to build an ESB promo version... the one used by snowtroopers :snowtrooper:

so I was wonering what kit I should get and what mods will have to be done to make it accurate.

I plan to use TANGO'D FETT's greeblies with possibly one of TK 4702's M19 scopes. I also plan to make the t-tracks out of a garden rake or contact marv for some of his.

now its down to weather I get

the doopy doos full resin E-11 kit http://www.doopydoos.com/stormtrooper-e-11-complete-anh-e-11-blaster-kit-offer-2685-p.asp

    or

the doopy doos pipe blaster kit http://www.doopydoos.com/stormtrooper-e-11-pipe-blaster-base-detailing-kit-2068-p.asp

I want to make a really good replica, but I also want to keep the price as low as possible :)

  5. Curious what did u use for the weathering?

Answered this before already :) let me know if you need more info

    thanks mate,

To get the grimy look its just a black acrylic wash, dabbed on with a rag and dabbed off straight away with another rag for the lighter areas, and just didnt dab off as much for the darker areas (hope that makes sense) After painting on the blue, I sanded down the entire armour to give it a matte finish... then the weathering was applied. My battle damage was just done with different grade sandpapers, whereas I think rick used a bit of masking fluid to get paint chips on his.

  6. Flesh out the eyes a little more.

could you possibly do up a little diagram showing me how much to trim... I have thought that I could maybe trim them out a little more, just never been quite sure...

However, it could just be the weathering, there is very little weathering around the eye 'sockets' so it may give the illusion of being undertrimmed.
