Great idea! How about an extended stock for us TKC's? Or are mold materials too expensive... I have no idea about the costs involved, so just throwing it out there
-
Very nice! Such a clean build! Wish I could get some TM armour one day
One small criticism, or more of a question really.... but is there meant to be that much gap between your biceps and forearms? I can see that you have them strapped together, but I was under the impression that those 2 pieces 'butted up' against each other? correct me if I am wrong, since I don't know much about the hero suits... but thought I'd throw it out there anyway

Looks awesome mate! I'm quite sure I read somewhere that you can't apply for centurion more than once...
-
Hi mate,
welcome to FISD!
If you need any help, just ask away!
-
I agree with what everyone else has said. This hoppy just isn't cheap, but the time and money that we put into our suits really shows.
I'd save up and get yourself a proper armour kit for next year... but in the meantime, if you're rally desperate, you could always to a cardboard job
but when it comes down to it,
you can look like this now

but the cardboard one could be good for a bit of fun

Hi mate and welcome!
What part of Australia are you from?
-
The best way to strap your thighs is to have a separate belt which fire under your armour and hang your thighs off that with 50mm elastic.
-
Wasn't Grant that silver protocol Droid in the phantom menace?

At first I was very nervous about how much punishment the armour can take, but as time has gone on I have learned that they are more durable than you'd expect. When your armour 'breaks' most of the time it is the glue failing or something similar, not the actual armour. Anyway, if you want to be truly screen accurate you can hold yourself together with gaffa tape (don't take any notice to that last sentence )
I can do this, and nothing popped off or cracked!
also good for dewback taming

Awesome photos!

Is have to say jawa, but depends how tall your friend is
-
The yellow trooper is Jabob
When you walk across Australia, look as good your armour will not
-
I think he's talking about SDS.
Any of the makers that you can find on this site are much cheaper
-
that's awesome!!
would you consider making me a folding stock like that?
-
You don't really need to hit the rivet all that hard, I need to wait for a cadet neat me to get some armour, so I can try installing one on the real deal haha
-
Since I heard a few people are being confused with what to do with the cap rivets that I supply here http://www.whitearmo...opic=19041&st=0
I thought I'd do up a little video showing you how to do it. If there is anything unclear, just post up and I'll try to answer it as best I can!
This is the side of the rivet that you see from outside the armour
This side is on the inside of your armour (can't be seen)
-
Just a heads up, the SOLID half (which is the SHORTER half) of the cap rivets is the side that faces outwards (can be seen from the outside)... the half you have painted there is the inside and won't be seen!!!!
Hope you see this before you install them!

Once in a while, depending on the person and situation... I do this occasionally when the person IN the picture seems reluctant (mostly adults, teens), and the person taking the picture is kind of pushing them. It gives the picture-taker a bit of a reward for their efforts. However, it can be kind of "out of character" for an on-duty TK.
Of course Only in moderation and the correct circumstances

Honestly though why isn't there a category for those that go above and beyond to make it perfect? No gaps, no seams, no rivets anyone uses, no extra buttons? I'm all about the screen accurate but in the end what are you to the general public...a stormtrooper right! I guess I'm ranting a little but look at the TX CRL just as an example. Those guys "can" take direct blaster fire yet a jodhpur or Chelsea style boot is required with elastic webbing at the ankle. Sorry but if you can "cloak" yourself I don't think the Achilles heal of an elastic ankle would have been overlooked on part of the empire. I know it's a mix of real world and the novels/comics but sheesh!
I wishyou all the best for you Tk build, but what youhave described here sounds very much like a clonetrooper.... They are seamless and 'perfect' inthe sense they were created in CG and no actual suits exst

Looking good!
If you're wondering what that extra cap rivet is for, it's just a spare in case you lose or stuff up one of the other ones
-
looks good! But I'd try to remove a bit of the paint on the frown that is on the 'lips' area (area above the holes that have been cut out)
-
cool!

By extended, I mean in the extended position, not folded away P
