Here is a picture of the T track on my E-11 now that its painted. It zooms in really close, It tried to rain on me when I took that pic so there are some rain drops on the gun.

Ahhhh, what was it again... I thought it was aluminium but I checked and I was working with freakin' plate steel. It was 26 gauge. It's hard to cut and it mostly melted/got very hot when I used the dremmel. But once I got it down in smaller squares it was really easy to bend and hammer into shape. Also when I polished it the edges didn't need alot of work to dull them so that was good.
Im using 1/16" steel. I like using it over aluminum for 2 reasons, Steel is stronger and weldable and Aluminum gets really hot really quick. I burned the crap out of my fingers when I was making my front sight block (its made out of aluminum)
26 guage? Thats like razor blade thin isn't? 1/64" When I cut that stuff I use metal shears.

Yeah the metal work really slows you down. Ive got about 5 hours put into my magazine and housing, prolly another 5 in the stock. The little springy mechanizm under the buttcap took a couple hours to make it functional. Yeah, all in all, the metal work's a slow process. What kind of metal are you using?

I had to take it in 3 separate shots and photoshop them together. But the effect survived

Today I installed a set of runriott's lenses. Grade 3 torch lens material. I trimmed them down with a pair of scissors and dipped them in boiling water. Then I pressed them into the eyes until they cooled so they would perfectly match the eye sockets. Then I glued them in place. You can see out and they can't see in...perfect. Now I'm just waiting to get a pair of speakers from SuperTrooper to install the electronics.

I will not ask you why your kids are used to wearing steel helmets...
They're accident prone.

Verrah nice....

you know what I'd do If i had a million bucks....2 helmets at the same time....--Office Space

Thats just str8 up sexy there. Can you troop in it? Lots of rich detail, wondering how thin your material was....man that looks good.

I wouldnt worry about it too much. I'd recommend a better helmet like a TE2 or AP. They really arent hard to put together, especially with all the help you'll get around here. Then you can get FX from the neck down. But thats just my .02

I have a supply of T-Track that I can make available. It comes in white and is easily bendable when heated.

Whats crazy is that the more it dries, the better it looks. Its shiner 12 hours later than it is wet.

I highly recommend Rustoleum Gloss White High performance enamel. Dude you will not believe what a beautiful finish it has. Mike Harrison for President!

We should start stocking up on beer now, that way we'll be ready for the armor party. Might as well get one more good one in...

This is the batch of templates for the ROTJ E-11. It has the templates for the greeblies that you are looking for. Hope that helps ya. I read somewhere that they might be hammers for some type of gun real gun but thats the extent of what I found.

I need a set! I wasted 20 bucks on a set from Digikey. When I hooked em up they were no louder than headphone speakers. I hear yours are plenty loud enuff.
