Sure thing Andy! Inter-Garrison transfers and visiting troopers are always welcome!

My good friend Wet Okole is the Outpost CO, an all around great guy, and an amazing costumer. Most of the new school troopers were clones, but lately, there is been a surge in TK's (and TB's!). Shaun wanted to get in the TK game, he had an FX years ago. He has been having a rough go of things lately, his mom is undergoing chemo for cancer, and he just did not have any extra cash for a new build. I knew of a costumer on Oahu who had a really old FX just sitting in the closet, and I knew if anyone could save it, it'd be my Outpost crew!
I contacted the costumer, he was asking $500 for the clapped out kit. It was all velcro and duct tape. They had spilt the battery pack so it would come apart for storage, and had rivets in crazy places! I let him keep the helmet, and swapped sold old costume pieces I had for the rest. I bought a MTK kit and a cloth belt for his birthday
The guys spent many nights scraping off the velcro goo, and polishing it up. I wish they had taken photos of how bad it was! Shaun is only 5'4", and they were able to trim off most of the rivet areas. They changed the buttons, added side shims, and most of the EIB details. The chest was trimmed back, and I think they are going to heat it. There are three troopings this weekend, so they wanted to get it ready to go.
Feel free to give any tips, I will pass them on!

Nice! What a bargain!

I'm going! I have never been, but word I have been told is not to bring femtrooper? I hate not to wear it, since that is my trademark costume, but I guess Juno/Slave Leia will be easier to transport anyway!

Oh, you guys are so wrong! LOL!

Congrats on the approval and fun first troop! Cute!

Not me! But on my list! LOVE her look! I also want a fem biker!

I some parts of Hawaii, you need a sidearm! Still that little phaser is no comparison to a good E-11 blaster! Just pretend it is a mini-royal guard cloak, and you 501st types will be fine LOL!

Don't worry, I am not a Red Shirt, Comm staff never go on away teams! But yes, I have really joined the dark side now!

Today was the last day of our 3 day Kawaii Kon. After a big push getting gear ready, and long days standing post on the Death Star, the troopers were all a bit tired, but today was our big Star Wars push. Many of our members do many things, but they agreed to meet up to day in 501st gear if possible. I did Slave Leia. This was our best TK showing I can recall. CC5707 messed up by wearing Rex instead of his TE2!

The shot was so great, I wanted to crop it and brighten some to show the guys!

is it just me, or does that sandy bro look familiar...
Hmm, that might be someone you guys know, but then again, helmets hide a lot! Was great to see Guns in armor again! He has been doing a lot of Rebel Legion looks lately.

HPDblues set up a little birthday party for a fellow HPD Officer last week. In Asian culture, the first birthday is a milestone, and a huge party. (Survival rates used to be quite low way out here). The parents are huge fans, and made the party Star Wars themed. They had lego center ices on every table, toys on display, and everyone had Star Wars shirts! It was in a HPD hall, and was really nice.
For the setup, they had us in a "V" formation outside the roll up door. As the officer, I got to lead the squad of troopers in. Guns dusted of his sand trooper, which was very cool. It was an honor leading them in! Our handler beat on the door, and the kids inside went nuts. THey didn't know what was coming. He then demanded they open the door in the name of the Imperial Forces! They were starting to figure it out then LOL. When the door came up, and we marched in, it was really something! I was so proud to lead in our squad, really a "chicken skin" moment!

Aw, thanks guys! I am happy just to hang around with you big shiny white guys! I look at all of you like my big brothers My posts may not be the deepest or most insightful about Star Wars or armor building, but I have learned as much as I can, and always try to help with armor builds here too Thank you all for allowing me to stick around, I am so glad I did!

Wow, how tall are you? Looks amazing!

Yes, the seller was crazy thinking his old FX was worth $500. I swapped about $150 worth of stuff for it, so all told this is about a $350 budget build. And I forgot to mention Andy, but "Wet okole" means great seat covers! LOL! I want a set for my Mustang, but they cost as much as armor!

You are right Mason, he realized he cut it about 1/2" shorter than he should've. He used a strap to hold it down, and will try to roll it in with heat.
The first trooping of the day is done (Prevent Child abuse teddy bear donations), and I'll have some photos soon!
