Maybe you can try Tamiya metal primer (clear and thin) and Pure White spray paint in a can. They are lacquer base.

Im pretty sure since they mergered with a few other sites you now login with your e-mail adress and your previous password. Id give that a try and see if it works
Thank you for the advice, I tried it several times on different occasions, didn't work. <_<

Anyone knows how to log on to the clonetroopers website? I was registered there but can't log on now. Also contacted site admin but no response from them for more than a week now.
Peace
-
Hi,
Can anyone help contact him and get him to pm me? I have not been able to login over at the clonetroopers after the server was down.
Thank you in advance.

Nice and clean schematics on the inside.
On the ventilation, I was toying with the idea of installing two fans which I purchase over at ebay, one on each side of the frown. One suck and one blow to circulate the air in the lid.
-
Good luck and godspeed on your endeavour, that you will treasure the lid that holds your sweat and hopefully not blood (ouch!)
Remember; don't over cut the ear caps (don't follow the vac form guidelines, leave at least 2-3cm of excess then sand down) just my 2 cents!!!!!!
Peace

the sellers name is e-chu-ta, thats what the rude 3PO unit says to golden rod on cloud city. Yet another negative connotation....it is a nice looking bucket tho, so is the other one he's selling. Has anyone else noticed the sudden burst of screen accurate buckets on the bay lately? 5 this week, one of which was a TS bucket.
If the (an impolite person-u-me) assumption on sellers with zero feedback is correct for this case; at least the seller is honest enough to inform prospective buyer that they will get "e-chu-ta"ed in the end.

Hey all....
Please give me your opinion of the ROTJ bucket at
http://cgi.ebay.com/Stormtrooper-Armor-Hel...1QQcmdZViewItem
Good deal...or no?
What label does this look like? Worth the money...?
Thanks!!!
IMO, could be a tragic story in the making if anyone bid on it. Then again, are those pictures of the lid the seller with zero feedback is selling? Better be safe than sorry, IMO.
Peace
-
the zero feedback caught my eye as well. Looks like a nice bucket tho. There's another ROTJ on ebay right now too thats being sold by a FISD member.
PM sent also.
For young teens and newbies to ebay, as a general rule of thumb, stay away from sellers with zero feedback. Came across sellers with zero to one or two feedbacks selling their vader lids, but using someone else's pictures. Figure that out. IMO SW fan will normally start buying first at ebay and sell later, therefore ebayer with zero feedback selling a TK lid....
Peace
-
thats harsh...
But true

Hi,
Looks like you have over cut the right ear cap by following the vacform lines, like I have . I came up with a solution a few weeks ago... but hadn't time to compile and post. Otherwise this could have been avoided.
Now my right ear cap is in the freezer for drying and harding. I will try to post the how to correct the over cut. But my eyes are just recovering from an surgical operation.
Nice and fast build.

I would have jumped on it and gotten it off your hands if I had not just taken delivery from sgtfang.

The other day one of people I hang out with asked "Why in the hek do you spend all that cash and waist all that time with that Star Wars $#@^." So I sed to him " When was the last time you put a grin on the face of every person you met, or made some kids day just by standing their. Or how many time have you and some of your friends stud out in the cold at a game store for most of a day because the oner is going to donate 10% of the days profit to a charity . I mask my voice, I cover my face, and I go by a number, so don't tell me I do it for the recognition." All he could say was I never thought about like that."
And to you I say, I love my white plastic with all my hart and if I have to stand out in the cold in a spandex body suit and some disco boots to make just one little kids day I will do every weekend (plus it a hole lot of fun) and I know most if not all of the members of the FISD and the 501st feel the same way.
If this is out of line or in the wrong spot mods you cam move it or delete it but thought i would share it.
Ryan TK6939!
Noble thing to do. I would like to do that, it is wealth to one's soul. No money can buy that kind of wholesome feeling that you are helping the needy without the desire for recognition or acolades. Your heart and character in this is my favourite

A very nice, well proportionate and tight fitting assembly.

Welcome to the FISD, Sam. Cool place to chill.

Hi Gilbert,
Welcome and look forward to more of your postings.

Hello all. As I posted before, I am now waiting for my second set of FX armour. I have completed one set but my first time out and it really is to my mind not good for wear. Now that I do know some things, and what works on me I hope to do a bit better with it. After I get the next FX done, then I may start looking for TE/RT ect. I have a bad time with thigh plates due to being 5'8". The arms are hard to try to get to work also. The first two are just after some trimming and still useing mostly velcro. The last pic is how it is now. Mostly snaps being used with most velcro gone. I now have the legs in the garter type of set up with the upper plates "pulled " up a bit higher.
Looks good steve, I wish I have your speed.

Great build!! Looking cool

Hi Chris,
Blood, Guts and Heart. Cordial relationship, honesty and compassion is most important. And thumbs up to you for giving away free lids to kids as well. Just to let you know that I respect and appreciate the efforts that you and the troopers put in to charity and bringing joy to kids and others, in their troopings. And the satisfaction that Tks derived from wearing the good quality armor, this satisfaction that trooper get is a reward for their trooping efforts to bring joy to others. Risking flak, but, bro, I am with you from the other side of earth.
And I understand the stance that this board takes.... because the subject of casting tk armor is gray and open to differed opinions..... which has been going on for ages. IMO, the admin and guys here rather focus the main efforts of this board on the here and now, trooping, bonding and charity. Life is short and unpredictable, make full use of every moment given.
Whenever I see arguments... here a story I heard over the radio in china... a real life story:
"A chinese guy left his home town province to work in the capital city. Before he left home that day, he had an argument with his dad who dotes on him, due to a difference of opinion.
While he was working in the capital; after sometime he began to regret arguing with his dad and saying hurtful words out of spite. And he wanted to make amendments.... he could have picked up the phone and apologise to his dad, but was reserved because of pride and ego.
Therefore, he delayed and saved his apologies for a festive season where majority of chinese workers will return home for visits. Afew days before the festive season, he went shopping for things his dad loved but never had. He planned to apologise to his dad personally, and give him these gifts.
So came the day he battled the crowd at the train station and boarded the train, heading home. Three hours more and he will be home.... then he received a call at his handphone.... his sister informed him that his dad had just passed away.
This guy never stopped regretting and kept wondering, what was his dad emotions and thoughts before passing...."
Peace and take care
