  1. these pics are insane mate, well done, the kit looks awesome.
  2. I agree mate, I feel a very strong sense of acomplishment. A similar feeling i had when I first finished the suit in Ocober last year. true that mate
  3. I was getting worried man, but all is good in the empire once more.
  4. thanks mate, I guess I just needed some clarification. woo hoo! EIB baby!
  5. I can make the change, I guess I'm just dissapointed that I've made a lot of modifications to my armour since i first applied for the EIB, and I feel like every time I apply there is another thing i need to fix, even though the requirements say it's a should not a must. change them all to musts, then people will only apply when they have it all done.
  6. it'll take longer than an hour, I'll need to buy the plastic, and get more supplies from bunnings to put it together, not to mention how long it will take to get the fit right, for my suit it's gonna be a big process, I'll need a week end to do it, it won't be an easy fix, hence why I'd like my EIB before I have to change my costume, as it fits me really well at the moment, and I'm afraid that when I make the change, I'll have to make a lot of adjustments to my straps to get it to where it'll feel comfortable, remember, I troop a lot, so I'd prefer to do it when I know I'll have a break from trooping. mine aint a costume that just sits on a manaquine and gets let out to play once a year, I'm in my suit at least once a month. I'm not saying all EIB's aren't active, far from it, just making a statement about super screen accurate armour, vs troopability. I think my costume is a perfect example of a costume thats screen accurate, and "troopable." hell, I am ESB after all, we're not perfect! we've been around the block baby! Dave.
  7. It looks like my application for EIB has started up a pretty interesting debate. I feel chuffed that my costume could swell up such opinions in my fellow troopers. I totally agree that my leather shim is inaccurate and should be changed to plastic. (which I'll be doing v soon.) just wanted to know though, as I'm the one applying for EIB with this modification, does that mean I will be granted EIB, and given 6 months to change? or do I have to change it before I get my EIB? Dave.
  8. ha ha ha, I didn't mean exposed as in missing, i meant exposed as in you can see the shim when he lifts his arm to use the desk intercom thingy. (thats the technical term)
  9. as IMHO? sorry man, I don't know what that is. I will upgrade my side shim in the future no doubt, it'll look great with it. I just see Han working the intercom on the death star, with his side shim exposed, thinking, "thats the look" rad, Dave.
  10. Hey guys, here are my new photos for my EIB. I have updated my mic tips. I think the photos are a very good representation of my suit. As I'm a very active trooper, I have been getting a lot of battle damage, but I feel that only serves to benefit my ESB look. Please let me know what you think, cheers, Dave. TK4258 P.S I know my head look likes it's floating in the first pic, but it doesn't affect the rest of the bunch.
  11. I know it's a busy time of year for everyone, so I wasn't sure if my update had been seen by the moderator's so I thought I'd bump my thread, cheers, dave.
  12. Hey guys! I've finished my Blaster! thanks to everyone for their advice in the blasters topic thread, i really appreciate it! If you'd like to see all the pics of the hasbro mod i did, you can check em out here: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=8931&hl= I've modified my drop boxes to the right length! Here's the pics, let me know if there is anything else I need to do to get the EIB, I really want to be one of the first 100 by the end of the year! Dave TK4258 P.S Is it too late to become a supporter? Id like to show some appreciation to the forum that has helped me make all this possible, FISD RULES! P.P.S I'm a poker player, and I've been using my FISD Challenge coin as a chip protector, every table i play on, the other players ask 'What's this?" it's a great way to spread the word of the 501st, and the great lads at the FISD.
  13. Hey Hey! I've finished my Hasbro Mod ESB Build! woo hoo! I'll post the pics here, to complete this thread, and I'll add them to my EIB thread aswell for ya'll to check out. alright! (I love holidays) Here's a couple of shots of the putty stage, some sanding needed. I took more progress shots, but here's the finished ones!
  14. Here's some progress pics guys, I know it's looking a little rough, but once I putty it up and sand it back, it'll look the dogs. the glue is still drying as i post, thats why it looks a little shiney! what do ya think? dave.
  15. Hey guys, I have my parts for my blaster now, thanks to some local garrison friends, I have all the parts i need to complete my ESB hasbro conversion, but I have a few questions.... here are all my parts i have for the build. Here's a shot of my blaster at the moment: the d-ring part i have sourced is a complete end cap. I'm assuming i need to completly cut off the end of the blaster with a dremmel, then glue this back piece on? or do i glue it onto the back as it is? my next question is about the mag, it fits perfectly onto the side, and locks in, but what should i use to permanatly stick it there? ABS glue? or hot glue? the glue question is for all the parts of the blaster really, i don't know what glue to use. As for the t-tracks, is the adhesive strip on the back enough to stick it down? or should i use something stronger to glue it in place? once i cut off the front hasbro nozzel (keeping the light intact, hopefully) is this the right way to have the nozzel facing. with the middle circle pointing to the right like a pac man face? any ideas on how i can make my folding stock NOT useable? I'm sick of it coming loose, how should I glue it in place? again, the main question for this post is "what glue to use" Now I know that in the states they have this E-6000 glue, but over here, we don't have that brand, but I think from what I've read that normal plumber's ABS glue is the same stuff right? Anyway, a bit of advice on these pressing issues would be greatly appreciated, I hope to finish the blaster this week so I can apply for my EIB and be one of the first 100! P.S naatsirhc's thread has been very helpful, I'm looking forward to cutting the hasbro henglser counter off with my dremmel very soon! I'll be sure to upload pics of the progress! Dave.
  16. thanks for the help guys! DaveJ pm sent regarding those parts.
  17. WHOOPS! Sorry guys, didn't mean to post this topic twice! feel free to delete one of them (admins) sorry again.
  18. Hey guys, here's where I'm at with my blaster. To get my EIB I need to complete my conversion. From the pics below, what will I need to do to get it good enough to get my EIB? I would like to get the greeblies at some point as well, but for now I just want to do the essential parts for my EIB. This is my understanding of what I need: T-Tracks, a D-Ring and a Mag and the part that goes on the front? I know the T-tracks are glued into the shaft of the blaster, but how do i get the t-tracks that are already on the blaster off? do I just cut them with the dremmel? and then sand it back, and drill the extra holes in it's place, then glue the tracks on? What is the d-ring, is that the part that goes on the back of the blaster? I know i don't need the hengsler counter as I'm ESB, but i need the MAG. what is the part called on the front of the blaster? I know i need to cut off the red part and replace it with an add on, but what's it called? I already have the stock as you can see. Does anyone have these parts they could sell me? i don't need an entire kit as I'm going ESB and I already have the stock. Is there good ESB Hasbro Conversion tute out there? I'm having trouble finding one, let me know, cheers! dave.
  19. sweet, I'll order the add ons, and take some pics of the bucket! almost there indeed! thanks for the support!! Dave.
  20. hmmmm, i don't want to trim the eyes out too much, i love the bump, I know most of the helmets in ESB don't have much of the bump, but this pic from star warshelmets.com shows that they did a slight bump. I'll fix the drop boxes tomorrow and post the results. As for my blaster, it's a hasbro conversion. I only have the folding stock mod done on it, but from the EIB req's i read for ESB, it didn't say that the blaster HAS to have all the bells and whistles, but let me know if I'm wrong and I'll order the doopy doos. Dave.
  21. Hey Guys, I thought I better start a new thread to request my ESB EIB. I have fixed my ab plate problem, I got new straps, and I'm able to raise it up, so thats all good. I know in the photo of my back, my neck seal is poking out, I didn't notice until I got out of my gear and uploaded the pics (and my wife is in bed, so I can't take any more pics tonight, lol) apart from that I have new boots now (caboots) and thats about it, let me know if there is anything else I need to do to become one of the first 100 EIB's! keep rockin, Dave. I thought "the empire strikes back" bed sheets were a fitting backdrop! ha ha ha, I love empire, it's such a great film, ahhhh! here's the shot of my bucket.
