Scratchbuilt MP40 ammo pouches WIP

Hiya all!

 

 

i've been after these for a while but price made them unnavailable for me here.

 

i know I saw a pattern for scratchbuilding one but never found it and yesterday, after I asked if anyone had it I decided to start playing with cardboard to see if I could come up with a pattern to start making these thingies.

 

here's the result:

 

note (i'm not including meassures because the mockup came out a bit small, i'll post correct meassures and new pics of the Fx Leather one when i start it)

 

so first I cut a sheet like this one:

Hiya again!

 

well, during the weekend i got a handfull of vinyl i had gathering dust and started to draw (on a bigger scale now) the MP-40 mag pouches I need for the HWT.

 

as in the above mockup i started by drawing the shape and meassuring everything ( main meassures are 4.5 cms x 19 on each pouch x 3cms x 19 cms on the sides, the flaps are 15cms long:
