Zachg57 Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 So I was recently trying to replace the velcro on my upper leg pieces when I noticed a small crack right next to the endpoints (where the velcro is placed) I've been told that reinforcing the area with fiberglass fabric and CA glue would work, but what do you guys think would be a wiser thing to do? Chefhawk[501st] Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 easiest and cheapest is the the t-shirt/superglue method. Safety warning first. 1) some fumes will come from the glue to do not breath in 2) wear some sergical/rubber gloves. Use some masking tape on the outside to hold the split together. On the inside of the calf do the following... Cut a piece of white t-shirt twice the size of the split. superglue around the crack, place the square of t-shirt over this and press down then soak the t shirt in superglue.( you might need to press down on the t shirt) Leave to set Then just remove the masking tape from the other side and scrape/file/sand any glue that may have leaked through. hope that helps cheers Quote
