  1. I couldn't find any particular video on how to replace the tube stripes... I tried my best at placing them but don't know how it turned out (I tend to be terrible at keeping fine details)....keep note that chances are I will replace them again, and redo the entire area again next time there's an armor party considering the fact that using white out is generally not the best idea (both the strips or the liquid) but how is this for placement?
  2. I got that portion figured out and found easy access to a drill set (my brother brought one home with him)...all that's left is the tube stripes for the helmet..13 stripes per side, pencil width away from the inside of the helmet, and how far from the chin seam and ear piece?
  3. also...(I want to make sure I put the sticker on right)...it's the end of the sticker that is a pencil's width or the stripe itself that's a pencil width? ...I'm terrible with placing stickers so I traced (very lightly so I can erase and then buff out) the width of a pencil onto the tubes themselves for a rough estimate (hopefully I did the right thing in tracing, since I'm gonna use the trace line as my straight line for the stickers)
  4. should I paint the rivets white? and should try getting some from the local hardware store....or should I just wait till I get back from Japan and go to the next armor party to get that done?
  5. I guess that sort of explains why the original tube stripes on the Master's Replica Helmet weren't acceptable (since they curved outwards in the middle) also....which thread would that video be in? the TE2 build thread? FInally...do you guys think it would be a good idea for me to bring the armor with me to Japan while I am there for this upcoming school semester?
  6. Some quick questions that I'd rather ask than not the tube stripes on the helmet, are they placed so the curve slightly inwards with the tube or straight across, also, where exactly are they placed Second - I have an ESB style holster and am wondering if it goes on the right/left side, how far does the top of the holster have to be from the belt, and is it ok for there to be no loop (since the loop itse;f is too small for the belt when I got it in the mail. OH and Happy New Year everybody
  7. So I was recently trying to replace the velcro on my upper leg pieces when I noticed a small crack right next to the endpoints (where the velcro is placed) I've been told that reinforcing the area with fiberglass fabric and CA glue would work, but what do you guys think would be a wiser thing to do?
  8. I think a combination of snaps and velcro would be nice....although personally, I use velcro because it's easier to fit in my small build, and for the shoulder bells you can sew the velcro onto the shoulders and wouldn't have to worry them too much
  9. heh...that might be my nickname going in...skinny! so those are the shoulder bells.. anything need to be done with the chest area besides the trimming? and know of a place i can buy a holster?
  10. I wouldn't exactly say my work, considering I had a lot of help in the triming and refitting portion, otherwise most of the stuff was entirely my idea (like the velcro straps for the shoulders) the shoulderbells, those are what exactly?
  11. So after a ton of help from the local guys in my state, I have finally gotten a set of armor that will fit my....rather...skinny body, despite this, I still need help putting on the finishing touches, or final modifications to make my FX armor up to 501st standards, so without due haste, what do you guys think needs to be adjusted or replaced, (keep note the helmet is going to be replaced with a Masters Replica helmet)
  12. now when you say neck sizes...you're refering to how like actual shirts determine them or...something different?
