TK5144[TK]
Just primed my ATA helmet with the Rustoleum painter's choice sandable primer. I am going to use the Rustoleum Professional High Performance Enamel. How long should I wait before sanding (600 grit)? Is any waiting period needed to then paint, after sanding? Thanks for the help. This is fun stuff. Derek
stukatrooper
primer is a little more forgiving than top coat paint.I sand after an hour with primer , or just follow the instructions on the can mate. I have always put anything by for 24 hours before the top coat goes on.Then its thin coats about 5-10 minutes between coats ,then just put the thing on a shelf for a week.that way the paint is fully cured and ready for anything you through at it.
