Daric LaRone[501st] Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Guys, I've searched quite a bit and can't seem to find good instruction on the best way to do calf shims and especially what they are supposed to look like when done. Help please! I'm so close! I'm turning in my 501st app this weekend! ANH Elite app soon to follow! Quote
Daric LaRone[501st] Posted February 13, 2009 Author Report Posted February 13, 2009 Oops; I meant this to be in "Assembly". Sorry. Quote
SuperTrooper Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 Which armor makers shins are you working on? If you just need a little bit, just make an extra large overlap strip in the back (it's what I did). Quote

So should the strip in the back be on the outside or the inside? I bet I could search for pics of your armor, right? I'm really a visual learner. Quote
SuperTrooper Posted February 13, 2009 Report Posted February 13, 2009 How much more room do you need? Quote
Daric LaRone[501st] Posted February 13, 2009 Author Report Posted February 13, 2009 How much more room do you need? Very little... I can barely get them closed (very tight fit) toward the bottom (ankle area) and the toward the top is maybe an inch if that (don't have them in front of me unfortunately)... Quote
Daric LaRone[501st] Posted February 13, 2009 Author Report Posted February 13, 2009 Fortunately I have a left over ABS sheet from my kit that was supposed to be the belt I think (I'm going canvas for ANH Elite) so I can use that.... Quote
