JessieJames Posted July 10, 2025 Report Posted July 10, 2025 (edited) Hello, my name is Jessie. I’m going to the DMV area, and I’m a big Star Wars fan. I’m currently trying to figure out where I can build Rogue One Stormtrooper armor. I have a 3D file for it, and I would appreciate recommendations for a good place to go. Additionally, I want to install a fan in my armor so I won’t overheat in the summer heat in Texas. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you! gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted July 10, 2025 Report Posted July 10, 2025 Hello and welcome, I would advise you to compare your 3D files to screen references and also the current CRL (costume reference library) https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_rogue_one. I would also reach out to your GML (garrison membership liaison) with your build after all they may be able to identify any issues. I would also have a read through some of the previous posts on 3D files, here's one: A member with 3D printed suit was approved, update belt box files available too Another here Helmet files from Nico are the most accurate: https://www.etsy.com/au/market/nico_henderson_stormtrooper Great updates to Nico's 3D helmet files, you can request these by showing receipt of purchasing Nico's files. If you don't own a 3D printer it may become expensive, depending on who can print the files for you. You could reach out to your local garrison, they may be able to help you further, you can search here https://www.501st.com/maps/ @ukswrath can supply fans https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/UkswrathsSpeciality Once you are ready to build it's a good idea to post a build thread, great way to get feedback on suggestions https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/196-rogue-one-build-threads/ More information on Rogue One TK Resources Good luck, looking forward to seeing your progress Quote

Great to see another Star Wars fan here 👋 If you already have the 3D files, you might want to look for local makerspaces or fabrication labs in the DMV area — many of them have large-format 3D printers and people experienced with armor builds. Some members of the 501st or local cosplay groups could also point you to trusted builders nearby. For cooling, a lot of troopers use small helmet fans or chest-mounted blower systems, especially for hot climates like Texas, so you’re definitely on the right track. Good luck with your Rogue One build, and don’t hesitate to ask if you need help along the way! Edited February 6 by Gerald Garcia Quote
