TK-9510[TK] Posted July 15, 2022 Report Posted July 15, 2022 Greetings, I am in the process of refitting my 17 year old TK (Stunt) armor. Since my induction way back when, I’ve grown a bit all around . I’m basically looking to refit some parts of my armor, mostly for (re)sizing and updating to the current CRL standards. I am in search of armor vendors/makers who sell their wares by part(s) rather than by kit. I bought some forearm armor from StormtrooperStoreUS (on Etsy), who sell armor pieces (as well as kits) to replace my older and smaller ones. They look and fit great. However, I noticed that their shin armor doesn’t have the more squared off edging towards the top of the piece but rather somewhat tapered, very much like the ones I currently have. Same for the bottom edge of the thigh armor. Would anyone know of armorers/prop builders that mold those armors pieces? Thanks! Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted July 15, 2022 Report Posted July 15, 2022 I think you will find many makers will sell separate pieces (or have when I've requested) I would however try to purchase from the original maker of the armor as there can be quite a lot of difference in color from make to make. In saying that 17 years and your armor may have discolored a little so matching pieces may be a little difficult StormtrooperStoreUS armor looks to be FX or recast, name comes up a few times in the Where, What and Whom to Avoid Thread. You can find a full list of Vetted Sellers here, doesn't hurt to reach out and enquire Quote
