AFX/FX armor from Vaderpainter.com

Hi everyone,

 

New guy here (sort of). I'm just coming back into this hobby after a very long time away. I'm unpacking my collection and was looking at my Stormtrooper kit that I bought several years back from Vaderpainter.com, and trying to compare the pieces to what I see on this board.

 

I seem to remember it being a special version of the FX armor....is that true? It seems more refined than some of the FX kits I'm seeing elsewhere.

 

If anyone can shed some light on this version, I would appreciate it.

Not sure 100%, but I can say that the thighs sold on FX suits at least as far back as 2001 were different than what's sold now. I can't recall the exact year the change was made, but the new ones are shorter and more barrel shaped. That's the only difference that was easily recognizable by me when I compared my 2001 suit to the newer suits.
