Help choosing armour

Hello all, I've been reading around the forums on armour and I'm getting a little bogged down with facts so any advice on what to buy would be appreciated.

I am 5'9'' and weigh about 161 lbs, average build. And was thinking about buying some FX armour when I noticed that most people consider other armours an upgrade (no offence to anyone with FX) But I do not have enough money to buy two sets.

The two sets I was deciding between were TE2 and AP.

I was wondering which one of these sets would be best for the following:

Which one is more durable? I'm paranoid of spending this much on something that might easily break.

Which one is best for joining the 501st with the least modifications?

Which one is best for my size?

And most importantly, price?

Sorry for so many questions and thanks for any advice :)

They are both very nice armor sets.

TE2 is made of HIPS and AP is made of ABS plastic. Both are durable if cared for properly, but neither are flimsy weak plastics.

Both will get you into the 501st easily with little to no mods.

Both will fit you perfectly.

I've PMed you the prices since we aren't allowed to post them on the boards.

:salute:

PS: TE2 needs to be painted whereas AP does not.

Awesome! Thankyou for the great news, I'm not too fussed about painting.

One thing that people may find interesting:

-----------

Looks like there isn't much in the strengths of the suits. I think I've almost made my mind up.

I know I can't ask where to buy armour, can I ask if either set is still in production?
