Original GF/FX Thigh Size?

Hello.

 

When I got my FX armor kit, I got the new thigh armor type that is much bigger than the original. Since I was pretty much skinny back then (now too, but not that much), I didn't really know what size to trim them to since I wanted them to fit me in the future when I get bigger.

 

I know that there was an old version of the thigh armor that was smaller, but I don't know what the size of these were, so if anyone has the original thighs for their stormtrooper, could you please post the size of them when assembled?

 

I need to fix my thighs to be smaller before an event this saturday.

OK, here are the measurements of the left thigh:

 

Max diameter near top: approx 26" (I was using a metal tape measure, so may be off a tad)

 

- Length of front seam (strip): 15-1/2"

- Length of back seam (strip): 9-5/8"

 

Bottom hole:

- max left to right: 6"

- max front to back: 5-1/16"

 

Top hole:

- max left to right: 7-1/2"

- max front to back: 9"

 

The right thigh is a little smaller in diameter though the overall lengths are the same. I was able to glue both the front and back of the left thigh, but only the front of the right thigh. I'd have to shim perhaps 1/8" to be able to glue it - it's just velcro'd for now.

Excellent. Thanks for the measurements. I'll be modifying my thigh armor to this size soon then, will probably look much better than what they look like now.
