KoldKolby
So I started this build last Summer, but had to put it on hold because of college. Now I'm back on Summer break and anxious to finish this. I did remove the rivets and buttons from the kidney plate since I misplaced them, and the ammo belt from the thigh since it was too high. I'm planning on using Velcro for the back of the forearms, like the calves, since my hands dont easily slide through. For my helmet, I have the flexible plastic lenses (they came as one rolled-up, rectangular plastic sheet) and wire mesh, but I don't know what to use to glue them on, or how I should cut out the plastic lenses. gmrhodes13[Staff]
You may want to just nip off the corners of your cover strips, just round of the sharp edges or they will catch. You shouldn't have any gaps in the bottom of the thigh joins, you may want to take these apart and try to reduce the gap. Cover strips shouldn't be longer than the armor pieces, could just be the photos though. Should be little to no gap between your TD clips and end caps. Helmet looks nice, you could put some mesh behind the teeth, also clean up the black lines on the ears. For attaching the lenses there are all sorts of options, glue in tabs, double sided tape, duct tape, silicon, hot glue, pretty much what ever you have handy . Good luck with the rest of the build
KoldKolby
Update on the build (gotta love summer plans keeping me away from this): I found out that my calve and thigh cover strips were too small so I removed those and I'm cutting new ones. It may be hard to notice with the previous pictures, but front-top pieces of the thighs aren't the same height. I would post pictures of the strips I put on and the difference of the thighs but I can't upload photos because of the file size limit and Tapatalk isn't working for me. I'll be rounding those off after looking at other AP kits to see how they made the curve. I put wire mesh in behind the teeth of my helmet, and I ordered the hard plastic lenses and the S neck trim from Trooperbay.
