Question about best helmet retention system

I'm looking for some ideas about the most comfortable way to wear the helmet. Star foam, hard hat liner, particular type of padding? Thanks to anyone for your ideas or methods!

Thanks for the reply. Great collection you've got there! My next question then is do you buy and cut up a hard hat or can you buy the liner and clips? Also, what fabric do you have in your FOTK? My son has the Anovos helmet and we will be starting his armor around Sept if it arrives on time. Thanks again!

Hard hat. Cut the liner mounts out with a dremel or hack saw. I little bit of industrial strength velcro and you're set

Just a note another common system in tactical helmet padding, I know quite a few people that use those also

I use a hardhat liner too. Since nothing sticks to hardhat plastic, I make my own clips for easy glue-in.

The liner that comes with the Anovos kit is complete trash. This looks so much better!
