Deckard1138[501st] Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 I'm going to be starting my first helmet build soon, an ATA and I can't wait. I've seen that some guys plastidip the inside. I've never worked with plastidip before. Has anyone sprayed the insides before trimming and putting the helmet together? I'm unsure if that paint will cause problems while trimming and sanding. Also, does anyone here add cheesecloth into the paint? Beyond it adding texture does it benefit the helmet in any way such as rigidity? Thanks in advance! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 (edited) I didn't use plastidip I used a satin black industrial paint and had no problems, it's easier to paint before trimming then there is little masking to be done. A thread here with others using plastidip http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/38500-inner-helmet-paint/?hl=plasti#entry528699 Edited December 4, 2016 by gmrhodes13 1 Quote
