Latex hand guards but not latex!

I've been looking into perhaps creating a mould for making my own hand guards to replace my not-so-sharp SDS ABS hand guards.

 

It looks complicated.

 

And costly.

 

So it suddenly struck me that I had some Angelus white leather paint left over from painting my boots, and I had leather. Lots of leather

 

Anyway, I took some images from t'interweb and came up with these... I know they won't pass for the highest level, but then neither will my current 'trooper armour

But they certainly look better and sharper than what I have
