Kuzzarait Posted February 17, 2016 Report Posted February 17, 2016 Hi everyone , I am going to attempt to make my own armor from scratch. I am starting with the Helmet. I am making it out of Plastalina. The plan is to then make a silicone mold out of it and recast into plaster to make a vacuum form mold. That is the plan anyways. I thought i would post my progress here. If you have any advise or constructive criticism please let me know. Quote
Kuzzarait Posted February 17, 2016 Author Report Posted February 17, 2016 I started by making a frame. I used a frame for a Paper build ANH stormtrooper helmet. Then I cut up a male Styrofoam head and placed it in the frame. Then I added Plastalina into 1 section. I am only going to attempt one section at a time for the rough sculpt. I have never sculpted anything before and want to take my time. I started with the eye sockets. I ended the day happy with my progress. It is still a rough sculpt once I get the rest of the Helmet sculpted in I will work on refining the details and try to get it as screen accurate as possible. Quote
