Classic strapping method on AM 2.0?

So I was pretty set on doing the classic bracket method but then I read that there is not enough return edge on AM 2.0 and I should use the snap method. Any thoughts?

I have seen the AM and I think that there is more than enough return edge.

Maybe the NE and AM1.0 had more return edge, but there is not enough return edge on the AM2.0 kidney and butt plate to safely drill and attach the wire brackets without failure.
