mikedwelle94[TK]
I have a set of MonCal thighs that I'm putting together with overlaps (for my ROTJ Shock Trooper) and I'm stumped on how to join the backs together. As you can see, there's no raised edge for me to glue the other half to. Any advice on how to create that edge with a heatgun? Is there anything else I'd need to make sure I don't ruin my plastic? Thanks in advance for your answers!
The5thHorseman[TK]
Actually I don't see your problem here. You have a molded ridge on the outer half of your thighs. Trim this to your wanted width (should be around 20mm), then glue the inner half of the thigh under this ridge. And you can still fit the size of the thigh by trimming the inner half before gluing it. You don't need a molded ridge on both halves in my opinion.
mikedwelle94[TK]
I made it work for the most part. Not having the ridge on the other halves left me with a few gaps between the tops and bottoms, but once I get some stronger magnets I should be able to fix them.
