Best Christmas Ever!

My wonderful partner Lodorian has purchased me the TK ANH Stormtrooper kit from Baytrooper as an early Christmas present and I am so excited! :jig:

I have all the hard parts now and am sourcing the soft parts.

I have found the undergarments for cheap and found Trooperbay on Ebay as postage is cheaper from the Ebay store then the website for the holster and gloves. I will be sourcing boots from TK Boots.

I have found a neck seal on ebay for way cheaper then the other ones available from Trooperbay and I've included a photo here so hopefully someone will be able to tell me if this will be approvable. I am only going for basic approval too so I think this will be ok but I am not an expert obviously. It is made of fine spandex with rings of plastic inserted to give it that ribbed quality that are approx. 2.2" tall [back is taller because Velcro pieces hold it firmer]. Collar comes with a velcro closure up the back, and approx. 3" fabric base to insert under your body suit with velcro tabs to help keep it in place.

Darkfather and Arienh along with Baytrooper and all the other local 501ster's are coming to my help to build this. I am nervous but excited and I want to hack into some of the outer bits I know need to be cut already, but I will be patient and enjoy the party season first. :banghead: The new year will be time to get stuck right into this!

Thoroughly looking forward to this challenge and have been reading build thread after build thread both here and on whitearmor.net . I am getting pretty confident with certain things now and think my biggest challenge will be making it fit my tiny frame.

Test fitting with Darkfather and Arienh showed that certain parts of the armour like the arm pieces are about double my size so there will be lots of trimming involved. I'm sure once all the extra bits are trimmed off and we can see the proper armour shape it won't be as bad.

Be prepared for tonnes of photos and stupid questions I am total noob lol.

I will be a little short to be a Stormtrooper but I couldn't care less. This is a dream come true!!

Not familiar with Baytrooper unless you mean Trooperbay Mike's MTK kit which is what I have. For some of the soft parts and other accessories, please check the ongoing sales thread here. The vast majority of members selling things do so at cost only and are very reasonable. Congratulations on the new armor!

Oh sorry, Baytrooper is a local 501st'er from where I live in Queensland, Australia and I believe he purchsed the kit from TM?

I don't think Baytrooper has a TK so he probably isn't that well known here. Rest assured you are in the right place for TK advice. For soft parts, it would also be worth sending a PM to MammaSith on the Redback forums as she does a lot of sewing for the Garrison.<br>
