Shiny asking for help in the field

Hi there.

 

So being fairly new to the trooping and 501st in general I decided to ask for pointers. 

 

The thing is that I had this idea for the Icelandic Outpost to rally people to donate blood on May 4th. Appealing to people love for star wars and putting it to good cause since the blood bank is always in a little bit of a struggle here.

 

Now I wanted to know if any of you have had any experiences of this kind of thing. The idea is to contact the blood bank with the idea in the next days and I would like to have some plan of action to show them. As of right now I was thinking some posters, promoting it over facebook and at our promotion night for the 501st later in Mars. Then on the May 4th we would be the first ones to donate, me in my TK.

 

So I would love to here from you guys and ladies. Anything to watch out for or focus more on?

Hi Tomas the legion does a few blood drives a year, I am organising the first blood bank drive in my squad this year on June 14th, I am finding only a small amount of the squad is prepared to donate blood but I have organised with the manager to have other troopers attend and do some promotion for future blood drives. We are able to link our blood donations on their register to show how many troopers have donated across Australia and how many lives they have saved, which is pretty cool.

Wow thanks for the info. Thought about changing the date to be at the same time as you guys, but sadly it is closed on thous dates

 

Would any of you have any good catch-phrase to have on posters? The only thing I can come up with is "Will you bleed for the cause?" but it sound a little dark
