Question for any owners of genuine M38 scope

Hi there

 

I've started a topic where I'm adding glass magnifying lenses to a Doopy M38 for extra realism. Before I paint the interior I wanted to check if it's a natural brass finish or if it's black.

I've Googled images but it's dificult to tell so any help is much appreciated.

Hey.

Mine is mostly black, when looking through it. There is a thin brass-line inside, but I think that might just be where the small frontal part meets the larger main part.
