adding back stripe to loake's 290

I got these beautiful loake's 290 boots few weeks ago, got all necessary painting products today, and before I start I thought to add leather stripe on the back to achieve even more screen accuracy,,

 

I wonder if someone know what kind of glue would be the best for this?

or any other method maybe?

Maybe you could take them to a local shoe cobbler, shouldn't cost that much to get them stitched on.

I agree, get them stitched on if at all possible....good man getting the Loakes, those are fabulous boots:-).
