How should I go about measuring up?

I have not worked on my armour for a few months because I am stuck on how to go about measuring my arms and legs for the limbs. :ung: 

 

I have had a look around forums but not found anything.  

 

If anyone has any advice, links to tutorials, videos etc... I would be eternally grateful.

 

If there are a few ways to go about it please do let me know all options.

Trim the parts to their largest size and tape together to see how they fit. Then overlap the two halves if they are too big and tighten them until they are comfortable. They do not want to be tight fitting. Keep them loose so they do not restrict your movement.
