Tolo[TK]
I did switch to a different mic (an omni-directional) one since the "line up with the white line thing" with the Aker since that was driving me crazy. But, it is not loud enough, so I want something better. Thanks for the tips and I'll check out the mics you recommend. What about the mics that you install directly into your bucket? This would eliminate the problem of things shifting and moving when you slip your helmet on and off your head? This is the mic that I'm using. I did bend the metal wire that holds on your head and hid everything under my Echo's fan system. Used a bit a velcro to hold it in your bucket and Bob's your uncle! I'm pretty loud and barely any feedback. I had to change the plug that came with the mic to a 1/8" jack. This type of microphone come with a mini XLR plug. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28651-in-the-spirit-of-darh-alohas-headset-mics-thread/ Edited December 8, 2014 by Tolo
