Ironside
Hey everyone...I'm doing some adjustments on one of my trooper armor sets...could someone let me know what the correct measurement for the bicep, forearm, shin, and leg joint strip covers are in terms of width and length generally? Thanks!
Dday[501st]
Hi Chris, The thighs and shins should be 20mm wide, and the backs of the shins 25mm. The arms are 15mm wide. As for the lengths that depends on the armor you are wearing. What I did was just to check build threads that used it to see their placement. Basically you go from the top of the seam to the bottom. Some pieces will have a edge clipped top/bottom and some will have a slant cut. Just make sure you end your cover strip before the ridge on the bottom for the legs. You don't want your cover strip to cover the seam on the ridge. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/19340-tms-anh-hero-buildtm Here is a good build thread by Troopermaster where you can see the cover strips in their lengths. You can't go wrong by using a TM build for reference. Remember, this is a hero suit though, so don't copy the helmet or the holster attachment... unless you are making a hero as well...! Ironside
Awesome thanks! Its and AM kit by the way, it was actually the first kit I got not knowing they were made for bigger trooper's so I ended up having to trim off a ton and I just found out my cover strips were way too big. TrooperTim
Derrek's correct. Those measurements are used by most TKs and considered to be fairly accurate. Same measurements that I used to make mine. Cover strips can occasionally vary in width depending on your size. Whatever looks most proportional to your build. http://www.whitearmo...on/#entry270889
Ironside
Thanks Tim, I had ended up making the mistake of sizing my shins and biceps incorrectly on my Shadow Trooper and I think they wound up being much much bigger than 15-20 mm...
