I have just recently become very interested in buying the best Armor I can find and I need some advice on how to buy this. I want o discuss this with some members in NY and buy the armor but dont know anybody yet. I am in the Marines and want to have this so I can start trooping all ove the country. I am scheduled to get stationed in Dallas in Jan but want to have my armor by then.

Don't post "want to buy armor".

Welcome, Michael!

The first place you'll want to go is here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=11538

Then read the rest of the stickies in the Getting Started section.

When you decide what movie style you want your armor to emulate, go look at some of the build threads in that section (lower in the forums) and review the CRLs for it.

Most importantly, go register on your garrison boards and that's where you'll meet some more of your local folks to help you out. Otherwise, all the help you need is right here in FISD! :)

Keep in mind that this is neither a cheap nor quick endeavor, and "the best armor you can find" will depend on a number of factors such as your budget, build skill, etc.

As far as locals to talk to, depending on where you are in New York it will either be NorthEast Remnant Garrison, Empire City Garrison, or Garrison Excelsior.

I found that link extremely helpful because it gives a lot of information about each type of armor.

I also agree that meeting people in your garrison is great because they can provide a lot of support. I got a ton of help on my recent build from a Centurian-level garrison member. :)

Thanks for all the replies Ill definitely get in touch with my local garrison and get registered. I'm afraid I am totally committed now and there is no turning back.

No turning back? Excellent! You won't regret it.
