Getting Excess E6000 off the armor

Just as the title says, there are a few parts where I used a little too much glue and it came out the side of the cover strip. I heard some people use Goo Gone, just curious if that's the best method or is there another way?

After it dries, you can simply rub off the excess with your thumb.
