James[501st] Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 Snaps! Ok, so I picked up some snaps from Home Depot and tried them out last night on my first snap-plates. I found that the back of the snap leaves a protrusion behind the snap plate that is over 2 mm deep. The snap plate then rocks back and forth on this protrusion. I'm not really satisfied with this and was wondering if any of you have found snaps that are big enough to do the job, but also leave a minimal protrusion on the back of the snap-plate allowing for a better fit and seal when attaching them to armor? bobojuice Posted September 27, 2011 Report Posted September 27, 2011 (edited) That's how most of mine are made. I just bend the tabs on each side a bit so it'll grip. Otherwise, you can use the method Pandatrooper posted here somewhere. He uses rivets to connect the snaps to the plastic. *Edit: Found the link here: - Edited December 4, 2020 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2020 Quote
