Hedjii72[TK] Posted September 25, 2011 Report Share Posted September 25, 2011 My AP helmet has small little divots where it looks like suggested holes be drilled to install the mic tips. How religiously do I follow that suggested drill spot? Are there any rules of thumb when drilling to install mic tips? TK-4510[TK] Posted September 25, 2011 Report Share Posted September 25, 2011 I use an ice pick and frequently have to distort the holes to put the mic tips where I want them. The divots are a guide only. I usually pop the holes and insert the mic tips. I line them up so that they appear straight and then tighten them down snug. The bowls where the mic tips set are not symetrical and there will be differences. Pleasing to the eye of the beholder is the rule here When I do a stunt I try to make them straight. When I do a Sandy I make em wall eyed looking depending upon how f'd up I want the helmet to look, lol... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
