E-11 question

My E-11 arrived this afternoon! Thanks Andrew. I had a question about repainting it. Do you guys think I should just sand the entire thing and repaint?

the way the paint is sort of peeling off around the handle has me a bit nervous there. does the paint seem solid / well bonded to the gun other than where it's peeling? if it is, i'd just paint over it. it's going to get scuffed and need maintenance all the time, and i feel like the layers of paint makes it feel more realistic.

 

if the paint peels off easily, stripping it down might not be a bad plan. you wouldn't want to try to sand the grips though, since you'd end up killing a lot of the detail.

Minus the handle, the paint seems fine, just some flakes here and there. Good point about the handle. I'll just spray over it and see how it turns out. Thanks
