Sup, Guys. I am making good progress on my build. I am going to start on my belt tomorrow. Any advice/tips? I have the standard AM kit. I am not going to add on the canvas right now, just the ASB belt with the kit. I am hoping that the belt "pulls in" my kidney and abb plates, as they are jutting out away from my obleaks. This is giving me an egg look. Any advice will be helpful, and thanks. Jeremiah.

Make the belt as tight as you can ..nothing looks worse than a slack belt on a trooper. Thats my best advice.

Check screencaps for overlap positioning (use velcro ) and the layout of the components are covered very thoroughly in other threads.

Just my opinion , but I like (well fitting)plastic belts. For public trooping they give a trooper a far more "future spaceman" look than a bad fitting canvas one ..(and there are a lot of bad fitting droopy canvas ones out there.) And they hold the blaster neatly. BUT , as I suppose is technically correct , Im not sure if plastic is still clearable with the Garrison.(?) ;)

Jeremiah, on this board (and pretty much any other 501st board) TKIDs are reserved for those who are full members. In addition, there is already a Legion-approved TK4112.

Please change your screenname to something more appropriate. :)

As for the belt, I'd reconsider - take a look at the CRL, which the local GMLs use as a guide for determining costume acceptability: http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_stunt

If you like the sturdiness of the plastic belt, keeping it but covering it in canvas is a viable option.
