lassiter Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 O.K. ive had the kit for awhile and finally have the time to actually work on it. I finished the o2 tank, and had to go out and buy dremel bits and of course they dont fit lol on me so been drilling the holes by hand. I put the helmet together with screws only to see how it looks and it has a gap between the ear pieces and the cheek, just dont see how this will tighten up. Quote
TKRobert Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 It's a bit difficult to tell from the photos but it looks like you just have a single screw through the middle of the ear, if this is an ANH stunt you should have three screws, if Hero then two (judging by what I can see for teeth this may be a Hero). Also, again hard to tell from this photo, but it looks as though you could lower those ears slightly which would allow it to wrap around the tube better. You'll also want to work more on those teeth cutouts. Make sure you take a look through the build threads as well. Quote
lassiter Posted February 25, 2011 Author Report Posted February 25, 2011 It has the two screws and was following the directions of drilling out the dimples, so i was kinda surprised at the size of the gap. The teeth are just drilled out i haven't started with a file yet. And i appreciate any comments, thanks. Quote
FIVE[501st] Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 Well, the helmets had a gap between the ears. Check out reference pictures on StarWarsHelmets.com — just be careful, the more you research and the more look the more you'll start daydreaming of upgrading the FX to a more accurate bucket! Then it's not long until the $$ — or the £ £ — will start flying out the door. Quote

snoopy trooper[TK] Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 I agree with Robert on this . lower it some and put 2 more screws in it may suck it up some .If you want total seamless you may want to go with bondo and the paint it . Quote
