JoeR Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Hey fellow troopers My best friend and his wife tragically lost their baby girl Ella at 37 weeks, my own son Ollie was born on Ella's due date on the 19th December 2009, it has been a bitter-sweet time for us as best friends. They have started a charitable organisation called Ella's Memory. The organisation aims to help parents of still-born children. The primary aim is to re-fit the hospital suites across the UK where parents go to deliver still-born children. A secondary aim is to provide memory boxes and keepsake equipment for parents to capture memories in the first few hours as babies sadly deteriorate very rapidly. My friend would very much appreciate anyone joining the Facebook group 'Ella's Memory' and helping to spread the word and help this worthy cause. I will be walking 65 miles in a few months to raise funds and I am hoping to get the UKG down to Cornwall (UK) at some point to help raise some funds and awareness. If anyone has any stories or similar experiences to share I am sure he would be delighted to hear from you via Facebook. Joe R Quote
