  1. I do enjoy seeing more ROTJ builds. Especially a shiny one like mine.

The work is impressive. This, coming from a ROTJ junkie. :smiley-sw013: Well done!

Am I seeing ANH grey ab plate buttons? Seems like they should be darker (mine are black with dark blue bottom buttons).

As a note... as accurate as the helmet is, it's looks huge in the first picture. Odd camera angle?

  2. I like the idea of a backstory. It makes staying in character much easier. And it makes answering random background questions quicker and more believable.

    TK-6764: Nassik Dabak. Human male

Personal motto: Duty above all else.

Born and raised in Hanna City (capital city), Chandrila. Second planet in the Chandrila system. Bormea Sector In the Core Worlds along the Perlemian Trade Route

Only son of Major Aeron Dabak of the Chandrila Defense Fleet.

Upon reaching adulthood, Nassik enrolled in the Brionelle Memorial Military Academy to follow in his father's footsteps.

In his senior year, Nassik, and other students in the top of his class, were hand-picked by Moff Seerdon and transferred to the Imperial Academy on Carida for further training. Upon arrival, Nassik was assigned the designation 6764.

Upon graduation, Nassik earned the TK designation and was assigned to the star destroyer Immortal.

Eventually, TK-6764 was transferred to the Avenger and became a member of the 501st Legion under Commander Bow, where he served up to and through the battle of Endor. He was aboard the Avenger at the battle of Hoth.

TK-6764 was on-station briefly on the second Death Star and was present in the Honor Guard during the Emperor's arrival. Shortly before the Battle of Endor, he shuttled back to the Avenger and was aboard the star destroyer during the battle of Endor.

  3. It seems that no matter which way your name is spelled (Sean/Shawn) we love to have accurate costumes!

You may be right. At least in Australia. :) And thank you.

Hey Shawn, congrats on your awesome achievement :)

First EIB & Centurion in Desert Scorpion Squad :duim:

You'll be glad to know that once I replace my AM bucket I'll be taking another look at EIB.

And thank you, as well. I look forward to it. With all of the stormtroopers that our squad has, we really ought to have more EIB holders. And another Centurion or two wouldn't hurt, either. :smiley-sw013::salute:

  4. As one of the few Legion ROTJ troopers, I have a vested interest in helping to clarify the details of the ROTJ build. As Rich clearly pointed out, the differences are few. In light of that, it seems prudent for there to be a photographic comparison of the Death Star and Endor builds. Hopefully these pictures can help current and future ROTJ troopers by highlighting those differences.

Here is a unique take on Armor storage versus the typical oversided tubs. Looks to works well for non airline required travel.

This is an ancient thread with a dead link. Too bad, as the hockey bag idea is fantastic. I revive it because it still is a good idea. You take a huge hockey bag and build an inner frame from 1" PVC pipe for it. It takes eight 3-way elbow corners (for the corners, obviously), eight 4-way T connectors, and a bit of 1" diameter PVC pipe. The 4-way connectors allow you to put shelves in the frame (to create separate compartments within the bag).

I wish the guy hadn't let the site go. I remember how he did it, luckily, but I would've liked the photo reference.

  6. I am looking forward to the possibility of the ROTJ CRLs being divided into Endor and Death Star versions. And I applaud Rich's efforts to find clear differences between the two. From what I've gathered on these ROTJ sub-forums, the Endor version seems to be the most popular in a rather unpopular build.

Our ROTJ build is wonderfully detailed and it was refreshing to read recent discussion on its CRL recently.

  7. The helmet is looking very good.

As far as whether or not to rivet the belt to the ab plate, it's personal preference. Mine is riveted on. My webbing belt is three or so millimeters thick and there wasn't much of a way for me to use snaps although the idea did appeal to me. In the end, it was simpler to rivet it in place. The plus side to that is that I never have to worry about my belt shifting or moving.

I don't have a hard time seeing through my bubble lenses. I may be the exception to the rule, though.
