Thats awesome
Welcome Matt

The British Accent makes the video so much better.
I agree, your voice is very calming Great job on the video and review!

I'm always amazed at these interiors. I'm lucky if I can pack my giant head and the lens in mine

Whats the price difference in a flawed kit?
-
I tried putting them at the vents as suggested above, and I don't know if its the size of my melon or the fact that I have facial hair, but the fans couldn't spin because my face was in the way. I found that down near the chin was a bit better, but not alot of airflow. Always curious if anyone places fans on the top of the bucket facing down.

Wish I had your problem Colin, I have to screw my bucket on and off without the padding

Well you guys are busy, I can appreciate that , so with the help of Ruf:
-----
I figured it out. So the grocery list:
2x 12vdc Brushless Mini Fans - $12.99 each
5x AA Battery Boxes - $1.69 each
1x 15w Soldering Iron - $8.99
1x Rocker Switch - $2.99
8x AA Batteries (I forgot, so I have some remotes with no power )
45' of 18 Gage Wire - $5.99 (didn't need, the wire attached to the battery boxes was enough)
They didn't have 3/8" wire tubing at Radio Shack, so I picked up two packs of 5' at AutoZone for $2.98
Following the tutorial above, a little bit of velcro, a dremel, a drill, some electrical tape and a quite house, I got the whole thing built and installed in the lid within 4 hours.
Whole project cost me about $65 and was surprisingly easy to do. The toughest part was installing it in the lid with a little style, I gave it a shot so I'll take some photos later.

hey guys, I'm putting together a grocery list for Radio shack, and wanted to get definitively what I need first for a fan system, second for the mic/speaker system. Right now I have an RT bucket, nothing installed.
From researching the other threads, this is what I came up with for the fans, please feel free to correct or add anything:
5x Enclosed 2xAA Battery holders, 4 for batteries, one for rocker switch
1x rocker switch (voltage?)
Wire (size/type?)
Wire Tubing
Fans:
2x Brushless/Bearing-less 12v CPU fans or Squirrel Cage 12v fans
1x soldering iron
1x solder (special type?)
I'm pretty handy, but have not worked on small electronics, so I'm sure I can do this, just need a little specific help.
After I tackle this, I'll start with the sound system, have to get ready for the Clone Wars troop!

looks great, what did you pad the interior with?!
-
Shaded are interesting idea, thanks, but is the riveting OK with Elite?
-
Hey guys, since I'm a little wider than the average Stormtrooper, I need shims to close up the abs to kidney plates. Any ideas where I can get such things? I know I can get some sort of vinyl material, but I want to hit the elite standards.
Thanks!

Wanted to bump this one more time before I either eBay or keep this statue! Thanks everyone, and feel free to offer trades!

Good luck with it Lou, can't wait to see how it turns out!!

Thanks guys!
Ended up at a few Ace Hardwares and Home Depots, but the best I could do was the steel screw, same dimensions but no brass. Figure its going to be painted anyway, but I appreciate all the enthusiasm guys!
Funny thing was that at Ace, they had a brass nut for 4-40, but no screw

Pre-ordered mine, shipping was $37! I'll post some pics when it arrives!

Thanks Tony!
I know I can head over to the hardware shop, but I didn't know if it is a specific type/make/size/etc besides me just bringing one in and sizing it up
I'm not too much of a stickler for screen used accuracey, but I figured if I went as far as painting HDPE, I should get the proper screws
-
Hey guys!
Being a goof, I've lost 1 of the 6 gold screws used in the ears for a TE HDPE bucket. Right now I have a light switch cover screw in place, but it just looks silly. Anyway have any idea where I could pick up this exact screw?
Thanks!

Hey all, I thought I'd give you guys a try, I'm not having any luck with the other boards.
Luke is complete, with all shipping boxes and such, will even throw in a custom MR style plaque (134/500, Exclusive version). $190 plus actual shipping if you would like to buy right out. Shoot me a PM if you're interested, link to more photos at bottom of post!
Also, I would trade for a Stormy bucket (AP, TE, TE2, etc, not FX or MR CE), I've been wanting to convert one into a ESB.
I have feedback on Rebelscum, Sideshow Freaks (both Mr_Vader) and of course eBay (rob10267)
Thanks guys!

Thought I'd bump this from the dead, has anyone seen this? Scoobacca on the rebelscum boards pointed it out, an unreleased Marmit 12" figure, thought it would be helpful for some of you guys hoping to make a spacetrooper backpack

Oh, and because people have asked, here is some photos of the whole collection
eFX Helmet
in Getting Started - Read this First!
Posted
My .02, I have the eFX Stormie, and it is a beautiful helmet. Very sturdy, very heavy, it is wobbly so it differs from the symmetry of the MR CE helmet. The eFx lid is the same as the MR limited edition, except for a cleaner frown paint job and the paperwork/plaque/etc. I placed it side by side with a TE HDPE and although they look similar, the eFx looks a bit bigger and a bit thicker with not as much of a stye. One thing I would not do is troop in it though, but it is very comfortable with its plushy interior to walk around the house and harass the dog
Happy Holidays!
