  1. What do you mean by "better"?

    Which one's more comfortable?

    Which one's more screen accurate?

Which one's of a better quality?

Because there's not one helmet "better" than another. There's just a helmet that fits your needs, and that's it. :)

I really hate the fx lid and i used to own a master replica....master replica do the job with some mods. I spec like the side look of the master replica :) Fx just looks funny imo

  2. Its deff more good looking than an fx cause it is casted from one of the screenaccurate dont really know wich one but if i guess il say AP..but thats just a guess.

It looks like sharp details when you look at ebay. But he is using the same pic for all helmets so dont know if the one on the pic is a VT :(

  3. It does come with the mic. Good for relatively new troopers, like me. :0Lighten:

I did my first troop whit walmart and when i did put it behind the chest it was all good until i did put on the helmet then it started to peep ( backsound or what its called) Is teher any way to get rid of this...can i put somthing on the mic to get rid of it?..I got rid of it if i did put the speaker at my back...but i dont want it there though :)

I have the respirator voice amp too and the sound is very good; louder than the WalMart vc.

For the price you can't beat it.
    -----------

It says "item has ended" but scroll down and you can still order one. Very fast shipping in my experience.

    thanks mate!

So that is all i have to buy! is there a mic or will i have to buy that sepretlay?

  5. I am currently using the Wal mart voice changer and it works well, in some setups you can experience feedback issues. A better option is the SCOTT repirator voice amp found on Ebay for $10 because it has a volume control which can be used to eliminate the feedback quite easily if you encounter it.

    thanks !

Were have you mounted your walmart? Chestplate, belt?

i am thinking of the belt but that might not look to good :)

  6. Maybe this thread should be moved to Do it Yourself Props Forum. It would fit right in there.

Dealt with recasters in past and learned my lesson.

    :duimomlaag:

WOW dont know what to say :)

If this is recast then i did not know, I am not the one who recast them and THAT the three people who have bought from me can confirm ( they have seen the trackingnumber for all three helmets on theire way to me so please dont acuse me to be recasting stuff ( I have no idea how to make the plastic look like a helmet). I am new to this and when i bought the kits i bought them and got told they were ap kits. What more could i have done? i paid alot for them and i thought that that was what an old ap kit would have costed.

maybee someone should move this to armor building and i can keep on posting there. for those who want to follow this project.

  7. Hi guys!

I am finished with my armor now and I am waiting for my tk number to arrive. I will be trooping for the first time next weekend and i start to feel kinda comfy in the armor.

    Just have some final question.

You can see that I am a tall guy (6,2" =190cm) and therefore I need to keep the calvs a bit down on the legs (so the shoes dont pop out under the calvs) which results in that the sniperplate cuts right in the knee. Cant figure out a good way to solve it and I will be very happy with all the help and tips i can get. this will prob hurt like hell after a day of troopeing?

    and to the second question:

Is here anyone here that has cut off all the plastic that goes between your legs and connect the front and back? Mine is touching eachother when assemble and it cuts in the inside of the legs, can i cut it off and only use elastic to hold them togheter or should i leave some there?

    and 3e:

If trooping inside i guess a fan is almost a must?

    and last question:

What glue do i use to glue foam with in the helmet and on the body armor? is it supoose to be a special glue or can i use epoxy that i had to the armor?

And offcourse any tips that you guys learnd on your first trooperevent :)

thanks for all the help i can get :)

    Have a nice one

  8. Depending on the humidity and temp. where you are you can typically re-coat in 6 hours, I have done it in as little as 2-3 hours when the weather has been warm.

You should be able to touch and handle it at the 6 hour mark. However the paint probably wont be fully cured for 24 - 48 hours so it may scuff if handled too roughly before then.

    Thanks kris
