Cheers guys, I've taken a few drastic steps to EIB status. I've ordered a resin cast ANH E-11, which will be here this week (got it from a fellow UKG trooper) and at the same time have ordered an itchynuts design blaster (which should hopefully be here this year - i'd love it if it was). HOWEVER, if the resin E-11 comes up to scratch (i'll get pics posted this week and you can let me know) then I'll go with that until my upgrade. All my armor is at my parents (since I live in Glasgow and they are in Aberdeen and i'll not be back for at least 2 weeks) I'll get my dad to take pics of the armor - especially the helmet at close up and various angles. The armor was originally Marcels and had EIB status, so I know it will be fine, its just the blaster I need to sort out..... Oh...and not to rub it in I had ordered myself a doopy DLT-19 (only because I got the gig of my career last friday which paid for the blaster), so i'll get pics of that poster too.....

Hi there..... I just completed my TK ANH Hero Build, see pics below. Since these initial pics, uploaded to the 501st and accepted by the UKG. I wouldn't mind knowing what I need to do to get EIB status. I've since shortened the strap on the shoulder bells to take them in a bit, other that that, one thing I do know....I NEED A NEW E11 (as mine is a mish mash of all 3 films - grrrrrrrr - but still a looker though) All comments welcome So....from this I was advised to paint all the rivets white DONE.....and I got my number - TK7573

Yeah I did buy it on eBay and must admit that it looks great. It was from someone in florida and it came with a small booklet which was quite humorous. I'm wishing I still had the records on who it was I got it from. In order to go ANH EIB I will either have to do something with this one or take the plunge and get an ANH blaster. What do you think ? I'd love to be in the first 100 I just got my TK number at the weekend and all the feedback has been fantastic so far. Since these pics I've painted all the rivets white and adjusted the positioning of the shoulder bells. The only thing that will let me down is my blaster..... I'll upload pics of it in a mo - can anyone advise the mods I need to make to it to make it EIB ? Cheers Bruce

Naaaah Im on the case now.... Pads needing a clean though.....helmet has been untouched in the garage for almost 4 years.. Ripping out the inners isnt the problem. I'll use what I need and put the helmet back together again and put it on display. Its not as if I'll play again....actually...thats definitely not gonna happen !! Im thinking I can utilise the chin strap from the helmet tooo Now....how to fit the fan in now ;-)

Hey guys !! Whilst cleaning out and moving a fishtank from the garage. I found this down in the depths when I used to play for a local team, ermmm, many years ago... And whilst remembering the good times of being hit and dropping a pass in the endzone, I had a thought and looked inside.... Could I rip this out and put it inside my bucket ? I think I can, so my question is this... What would I use to attach it to the inside ? Cheers Bruce

COOL..... Cheers guys..... As i mentioned earlier, I'm actually quite happy to see that I paid just over half on what they have been sold for lately. So that's not a bad thing.... I'll check out the guys for the decals and see if the local hobby store here has the grey..... Away to sign up now :-)

Cheers ST, Yeah !! I'm not taking it too hard, but, at least I've got a good base for working on and can once done can move to a decent set when ready !! I didnt pay that much for it to be honest (I was very lucky !!) As for the helmet. I noticed the frown was short, have checked out starwarshelmets.com and the sds one and can see what needs to be done. I'll do a search for proper tube stripes and lenses for it. Am I right in saying that I would need to trim the rubber on the brow as I think it goes too far round... I dont feel too bad, but....least I've got something that is very workable and not a complete dud.....lesson learnt !!

Well.....yup I did it... I bought my first set of armor from ebay, then started reading the forums.....and realised I may have bought a recast. I got it from here.... ---------- anyone shed any light on it...... These are close up pics of the helmet. I do realise there will either be a fair bit of modding or I may have to look at getting a second set of armor (which right at the moment is very feasible ) I also know that the tube stripes are in the wrong position, so that needs sorted...... All comments, good or bad most welcome...... Cheers everyone...-------------

I'm not that long home from work and stuck them on....they are more comfortable than I expected too.....Right...time to crack on with the rest of the armour !

Just received my new Caboots Trooper Boots. They look nice. I ordered a US 12 (I'm a uk 11) and they are just a tad big, but nothing an inner sole and thick sport socks will sort out... oh and yeah they stink....but i can live with that !!
