Thanks alot for the info guys, it was very helpful. To tell you the truth I had no idea that Hasbro still sold E-11 Blasters. http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/ShoppingCart.htm? The last time I saw one sold in the stores was back in the 70's. I thought I was going to have to buy an old used one off E-Bay and that conversion kit looks pretty good also. I think this might be the way to go, the boots and other accessories I will leave till later before I make my decision. ...errr whats TD stand for ? ...I'm still new.

Errr...time for my next dumb question...what are CA Boots and whats a Kenner conversion kit.

I have to say I'm am feeling more optimistic about my propects after reading many of these posts and inquiring into various possible vendors its starting to look like it will cost me somewhere in the $1000.00 range, I though it would be more than that, albeit I'm sure I will encounter some hidden surprises along the way. I promissed myself I would keep it under $1200.00, thats kinda my budget, any more and I start to lose sleep. That said I will if nessissary spend more but I won't be happy about it, and would probably buy it slowly over time.

This is a great thread, I've been considering getting some armor in the near future and joining the 501st. I thought it would be a simple as going out and buying it, but after reading these posts OMG!!!. It is now clear that it will be a littlle more complicated than I first thought. Im glade I stumbled upon this site, I would have hated to spend a whole whack of cash only to find out later I've wasted my money. I would like to buy it only once and not have to worry about acceptance, Im starting to get a clearer picture of what I need.

This sounds like it would be really cool.
