  1. Well, that's true . Though I wouldn't dream of printing it out hehe. Been haunting these forums for half a year now or so, and I did find some great topics on it. Guess it's starwarshelmets.com referencing all over again . Thanks for all the tips! Vincent
  2. Prospecting for AP prices. TE2 looks too fragile for the likes of me. I'm quite blunt when it comes to storage of things . FX is still an option, as it's the cheapest option right now. But from what I've gathered I got the height for a screen accurate TK... I dunno. It's all in the price now.
  3. Merugear votes for abuse I'll play it safe and stick with ABS. Sorry for the teeny weeny hijack of the post . Move along
  4. Just a small question. This helmet looks rather thin. Is this always the case with TE2 and its armour? Cos I'm browsing around and would like to have a sturdy armour, even if it means cutting on screen accuracy. So can this thing keep up with the sturdiness of like a MRCE, or is it much more fragile? (Fragile never really works with me. Especially when it's expensive. Think Murphy's Law)
  5. Hey there Dmian, thanks for your reply! I contacted the Dutch Outpost, and the XO's been a good help so far. He also thinks the FX is a good deal. I could go with more screen accurate armour, but I am not sure if I will fit it without shimming. Also, I wouldn't mind modding the FX up to spec. Provided I get an How To Make An FX More Screen Accurate, manual. I don´t mind stylized, after all we´re from a galaxy far, far away and not on a set or workshop 300 miles from my home . My wallet, however, is very much here. Craftsmanship aside, I think paying over double just to get a screen accurate armor... Maybe when I'm 35-ish or got a bigger income, but not now. So what's really 'wrong' about FX? Cos apart from the bucket, I think most of the things are in proportion? Maybe modding the 'bib' a bit... But apart from that, what's to change? I allready got a MRCE that I'm willing to mod the heck out of. E11 conversion kit is in the mail. Right now I just want to trod around in white, no person on the street who can tell the difference. Also, with the current TK-rate in the Dutch Outpost I don't think I'll stand out much with an FX. I got: Bicep: 15,35 inches Forearm: 12,59 inches Thigh: 24,4 inches Length: 5'9" (finally got the inches and stuff right. It's 177cm) Weight is 248 pounds, but most of it is tucked in the belly department (darn you coca cola!). So if you say: wow ____ armor will fit you like a glove and _______ is much better than FX cos it has actual air that's been around the original moulds... I'll be listening . If it's because FX leaves a lot of black? I got short legs and arms probably so I think I'll be fine in that department. Well, off to work! Take care and be safe you all!
  6. You mean the actual sellers on eBay? Well the thing is, most of them are auctions without a buy-now price. I just don't want to take the risk of either not getting it, or getting it at too high a price. Besides, I heard a lot of recasts are found on eBay. Basically all I want is plain FX to be modded and adapted, maybe some RT-MOD for accuracy's sake... I allready got a MRCE. And I heard TM stopped working on armor for a while, hence the question for any other (re)sellers of armour around the EU. Thanks in advance and well... Got some tips on shipping etc.. so who knows. Vincent
  7. Well TM advised me to check a seller in Germany (AFX) that could probably supply me with armour. Still have to find the site though. Not quite certain if it's the www.trooperstore.de I found, but I made this post to check if there are any more Europe-based armour sellers I should take in regard when buying my armour. Thanks for the input though, it's well appreciated . Vincent aka Merugear
  8. I've been checking up on some armourers around the forums here, and noticed most of them are from overseas for me. Now shipping is a total female dog when it comes to big parcels, as well as the 20% on additional taxes I've got to pay for simply shipping it inside the European Union, not to mention the shipping rights. So basically I'm looking for tips on european (re)sellers of armor that can be trusted. I recently found trooperstore.de and they sell a variety of armours I saw. Now I saw their name pop up at the German Garrisson forums, but my german's not up to par recently. Anyways, I'd appreciate if any of you could help me on some decent armor shipped from the EU. Thanks in advance and keep on trooping! Vincent AKA Merugear.
