  1. Bummer deal, Jeremy!!

Terrell, I'll take whatever scraps are left if you have any further cancellations. ;)

    I know, Tony!

They don't tell you these things until the last minute, then you're like "Ah crud. I shouldnt've ordered all of that extra junk like 1TB hard drives and stuff!" Oh well though. I've still got one through Terrell and one through you, so I'm anticipating good things on this build! Just waiting on a neckseal and FBJ to open up his belts again. =)

  2. Thank you everyone for your warm welcomes!

I actually have a great announcement! My first sergeant approached me yesterday and told me that he would like me to be the first person home to help set up for our company's arrival back to Fort Hood. He said "It means a LOT of work, but you will be leaving around December 18th...." and before he said anything else, I was like "HELL YEAH, TOP!" So... I'll HOPEFULLY be home in time for Christmas. And since my AP armor is almost there, I have a feeling that this Christmas will be spent eating turkey legs and trimming armor pieces. ;)

  3. QFT - Quoted for Truth... I'm already looking at white silicone for my 'split' frown on the MR CE lid, plus darker lenses, AND better padding. And that's before I start to look at fixing the ears, or widening the gaps in the frown teeth, or adding fans and a pre-amp. Sheesh.

Then there's an e11 to look at - oh, and the rest of the suit!!

Nice warm welcome guys! I'm pretty sure there are no troopers here (Isle of Man) yet - but I'm quite happy to set a trend...

Depending on how much you want to spend, I think that someone is running a special in the for sale forum on hyperfirm E-11s. They're pretty boss.

  4. The FISD is helping me not only relive my childhood, but getting me wrapped into the Empire and Star Wars all over again. As a TK, it will be my pleasure to give to the younger community the Star Wars sensation I had as a kid. But without the FISD, I won't ever get there! PP Sent!

    FISD: Troopers Helping Troopers! ;)

  5. Hello everyone,

I've been searching around and coming up with nothing to my liking, so hopefully we can get something going here...

I am working with an AP helmet here, so I know that space is going to be tight, so it is better to patch things together, however, I am something of a perfectionist when it comes to being neat, tidy, and clean. Does anyone know of any all-in-one helmet kits that include cooling, amps, static burst, etc (I already have put in for some hovi-speakers. Kudos, Stomper!)? Or is it better to mix and match?

    Thanks!

    Jeremy

  6. Hey everyone,

I've been PMing and searching around, but that doesn't seem to be cutting it. If anyone has any spare E-11s, or any in the works, or have a special friend that is making a quality run? I'm looking for accuracy and quality over anything else. Not a hasbro I'd hafta do alot of modifications to work towards Elite status with. =P

    Thanks!

    Jeremy

  7. Hello everyone,

I've been reading all over that FX and Rubies and whatnot have a lot needing to be done to them until they are elite ready. However, is there anything specific that needs to be done for AP armor? Or should someone be able to simply read and follow the directions and be good to go? Besides CAboots, gloves, holester, underarmor... what else is needed to meet the requirements out of the box?

    Thanks!

  8. Hey everyone,

Thank you for your kind responses! It's my pleasure to serve ya'll. I look forward to working with everyone on this project. As far as investing my funds.. yeah, I can already see that happening! I'm so excited about my TK armor that with little else to do, I find myself starting to look at an RC omega kit too! heh. Hafta throttle back for abit to keep myself into check! =)

    Thanks,

    Jeremy

  9. welcome mate

although we may not be countryman - I was part of the forces too; so congrats on a job well done (wot ever the politics may be). keep ur head down and stay safe man.

    Hello!

No matter what part of the world you're from, if you love where you're from, serving your people is the one of the best ways to give back to your community! Although you're not with "U.S.", I completely respect what you do. Thank you for the props, and I look forward to working with yah!

From one member of the U.S. Armed Forces (Air Force) to another, welcome! What part of the States do you call home?

    Hey there!

I'm originally from Texas, and, as luck would have it, I got my home station at Fort Hood, TX, now! So, I've been looking into the Star Garrison. However, seeing as how I recently joined the NCO corps, and have been at Hood for about 3 1/2 years, it's almost time for the Army to move me around, so.. who knows who I'll end up with if they move me around.

  10. Hello Troopers,

My name is Jeremy and I've finally decided to jump into the community! For abit of background: I've been a Star Wars fan since I was a little one, and the most awe-inspiring part of the universe was the legions of Stormtroopers marching around in their super boss gleaming white armor! I will actually go so far as to say that, along wtih a combination of 9/11, seeing military might such as the Empire from Star Wars, was once of the reasons I joined the U. S. Army. Anyhow, I have always had the itch to own and wear a set of TK armor. However, work, a lack of knowledge, and a (big one) lack of resources, has always had me set in doubt, unfortunately.

However, I am currently finishing up my first tour to Iraq, and since I will have ample cash and an ample amount of downtime off when I get home for leave, I figured that no time would be better than the present to study up! I have actually been snooping around this forum, and a few others, for a few weeks now, trying to figure out the terminology, builds, authenticity issues, and, in general, everything about the TK armor. I've started to form my plan along the general lines of being patient by ordering exactly what I want, rather than what I will settle for, since I have another 3 months or so until I can put it all together. Then, when I get home in February, start the process of patching everything together to join your honorable ranks!

I have purchased an AP armor and helmet kit, as well as gloves, e-11 holster, and boots. I've started sifting through the threads for hovi-tips and whatnot. I have to also give a big "thank you" to Alain (Bigturc) and the Mark & Mike team, as well as the others that have helped me so far down this important road I'm trying to work through.

I still have awhile to go, and any help and support is appreciated, of course! I'll be on here alot since I don't have much else to do, so feel free to hit me up with anything you can think of, including part/accessory suggestions, which is what I need to focus on mainly at this point. I'd love to make this first build my most successful and smooth!

So anyways, a big hello, and I look forward to working with you all!

    Jeremy
