  1. Hello it was recommended that I get higher access / Status if it is not already done - I have filled out a number of links. TK25998
  2. Yes I am filling out lots of online stuff! Talk to everyone soon!
  3. Yes most definitely! Have a great holiday season everyone!
  4. hi everyone- great new I got my TK number will post on the other forum. Thank you everyone for your help - what amazing group to work with!! right now have to get the fans installed in the helmet. Otherwise armour is fantastic! thank you everyone!!!
  5. Hi there - ok having a bit of trouble. Seems my cybersecurity program is preventing me to use Imgur 101 - coming up as Blocked site - in fact going on this forum I have to use my phone. Is there another website/program available that I can use? (I have looked at resetting preferences, etc. so nothing seems to be working). any suggestions?
  6. ok - it seems my firewall is creating some issues with using this site (imgur 101). I will have to figure this out and see what can be done on my end. thanks..Arvin.
  7. Hi There - I tried a different way to minimize the photos and just wanted to do a test here.... Does it appear as an attachment or can you see it as part of the text - size wise it is small enough. IMG_0010 Small.heic
  8. Yes of course - these were just the fun photos. I have the close ups and side and back views. I also have a cheat sheet that I created that I created based on what I saw on the other forums (especially with photos showing with lines good and bad assemblies). I will be redoing the dress up adjusting a few obvious things I saw. (Ie alignment, straightening out belts, etc.) Should have this done this weekend for the first round submission. by the way - fan is very very important in the helmet! Man it got hot in there! have a great week everyone!
  9. oh Andrea at RS Prop has 2 photos from me so if you know her she could share with you.
  10. Hi everyone sorry about being off the grid for the past week - I got hacked so was in major security protocol lockdown. the good news - got the armour - it is an amazing fit. So I learned the following and I will post photos shortly: 1. Line of sight / visibility is tight so definitely walk around and get a feel for everything. 2. Putting armour on is tricky at first but you can get the hang of it with experience - challenge is are the snaps and trying to do it when you can’t see it. 3. Keeping things straight and perfect - I was not perfect on the first try but you can quickly see where you may need help and extra pair of hands. 4. I want to send photos but I need some time to clean up on the IT side. If someone has an email/text I can send something if you really want to see it…but I need to still do some reconfiguring of my laptop. next steps: second assembly and photos for sending through for comments / approval. I have Halloween and one of my clients is a TV station and we discussed doing the weather report on Halloween (LOL). No pressure! talkto everyone soon.
  11. Oh I like this - this seems nice and sleek.
  12. Etsy and Amazon have a bunch - just check the dimensions - I am still waiting for confirmation. Not sure if anybody had has had bad experiences with them. it's not that expensive so I decided to take a gamble. they look exactly like the images on the reply posts above.
  13. Hi there, Well my first box arrived today (helmet) and the second (armour) is arriving tomorrow. Wow - what a difference seeing it and holding the items in your hand. Immediate thing on the helmet is I want to do the upgrades. *mesh, green lens, fans are on order, etc.- hoping the local folks can help me out with sourcing good products for some items. I am going to start to put the armour on slowly and move around before taking photos - also downloaded photos from the other forums when people submitted to pick up some more tips. Also it's amazing how light the material is - I was very surprised about this one aspect - was expecting the material to be heavier. Once again - can't thank everyone enough to get me to this point with all the sharing of knowledge. I plan to take this one step at a time...basic approval first, then get started on the next level EIB as soon as humanly possible. What else can I do in retirement! Questions for tonight: #1 - is there a good method to upload photos - mine seem to be quite large format. #2 - when I am ready to get feedback should I go directly to the other forum and post. thanks.
  14. Thank you so much.
  15. Hello there, One question - can't tell from the photos but how did you hold the fan pieces to the inside of the helmet - is it simply velcro? thank you.
  16. Well - while I was vacationing in Disney last week boarding the Smugglers run ride at the Star Wars Galaxy's Edge - RS emailed me for a schedule update that the BBB is coming week of Sept 26th! I will take this as a good sign!! Nervous and excited at the same time!
  17. Hello there - I have seen some fans for the helmets that have a USB connection at the end. Has anyone tried using a USB charging connection (hope I am calling it out correctly) instead of batteries? I can send some photos of what I am looking at.
  18. thanks I am gathering all the questions...:)
  19. ok I may have more questions on this on how to reinforce once I get the suit. thanks
  20. ok this will involve getting my daughter who is in robotics involved. free labour !
  21. Ahh this is great thank you for the links.
  22. I have a new question. A suggestion was made to me to install a "fan" inside the trooper helmet as it could get hot in there when you are trooping. Is there a forum/thread that I can be directed to or anyone with experience with this. Is this something that is built from scratch or purchased specifically from a vendor? I would like to do as much research / get feedback on this as possible. thanks.
  23. Yes looking forward to it as well. Have started a do list with all the great advice...from taking lots of photos to walking around in the suit and getting oriented. Looking forward to sharing and getting feedback! September can't come fast enough!
  24. Thank you - everyone is so helpful - can't wait for the first round of reviews.
