  1. That does help, the boots really don’t fit well with the calves because of the width even with added heel strap to the calves. my thighs are setting. I was finally mobile enough yesterday to fit them last night. Really happy to tackle that job too the bottoms were a bit loose and the tops had a gap I could stick my hand down into.
  2. Tops of the thigh need a slight trim down and they are a little loose up top. i don’t think the biceps will need trimming now that the forearms are a touch shorter. the shoulder bells look like they may need trimming to me too
  3. These were the recents before my injury. I’ve been trimming some return edges down or away and the forearms had to get a trim so I could actually bend my arms to do something like put on my helmet without help or two finger installation
  4. Ok so I hope this is the right place for this, I’m a bit overwhelmed with the complexity of this forum or I’m just mentally challenged lately which is entirely possible. i commissioned a build by RWA this year and sent over my measurements and the guys did a pretty amazing job right down to fitment. some areas that needed attention were the biceps, shoulders, forearms and thighs. May even squeeze the calves down a hair but that’s no big deal. my first question (after altering of course) is will reducing the number of indentations on the forearms affect the approval? I read through the standards in the gml? And didn’t see anything related. I have gymmed my whole life off an on and did a little competitive body building so my thighs biceps and shoulders required the XL size…..but I have these trex shorty forearm’s!!
  5. I’m oddly built in some ways so in order to fit my forearm armor I needed to cut it down one inch and thusly removed a square from the outside edge detail. Will this still pass having one less square in the row on the outside of the forearm?
  6. Soon I hope! so awesome how much you documented of your process too. Thanks for the reading while I’m down!
  7. Soon as my SI joint gets better I’ll kit up and post pics. I heavily overdid the fun this past weekend with the kiddos. Joint went out an hour into work Tuesday
  8. Photos later still but my gap is a lot like tuskens after he added shims so I’m not even sure I really need them. It just almost touches. maybe I’ll not eat for a day and see how good it gets
  9. I’ll give those a look! Thank you, and photos tomorrow as it’s my daughters Star Wars birthday party
  10. If no gap is allowable how is the proper way to shim it? I put some fluff on from when I took my measurements and I have about a .5” gap each side now.
  11. I have not yet, I need to read about that process. I have some gloves I was just letting the elastic bands I glued down on the hand plates dry. Still need to get the helmet more comfortable and some minor final fitting. the shoes do have top ridges, I struggled hard to find some shoes that were immediately affordable and the funtasma ones were the only ones I could find at an extremely good price.
  12. I really didn’t know where to post so please move if necessary! so excited and absolutely love it! got a little fitting to work out and some minor other things to finish but big thanks to RWA and this forum for the guidance.
  13. Hi new guy here too, Y’all have this lingo down to an art lol
  14. Thanks again! What got y’all into this? For me I’ve always like the movies and they were always a great way to escape a crappy youth. Now I get to share my love for it with my own family. Halloween is going to be great this year. Daughter wants to be Vader, son a Jedi, and my wife Ashoka. I’ve always had a soft spot for the everyday working man or woman trooper lol
  15. Thanks! Appreciate the welcome Id really love to build a kit as I’m really handy and very OCD but I’d struggle to get one piece trimmed and glued a week right now so it would cause more anxiety than therapy haha ill let the OCD take over on the fitment once I get it I suppose. Definitely want to have the helmet comm and fans so that will give me something to do. it’s nice being older and having disposable income!
  16. Hey thanks! I’m west of ATL around I-20
  17. Hey all, new to the forum dropping in to say hello. I’ve been kicking the idea around of getting into the fun because I’m about 80% Star Wars fanboy and I love the idea of using it for charity work. Going to definitely get a ready to wear build and fit it to myself as I can’t begin to fathom how long it would take me to finish a kit with my schedule. Appreciate any direction into getting in touch with local people as well. A pleasure, JT
