Nice.  I was thinking maybe I'm trying to get in with the wrong crowd of younglings here.  Awkward....  I will send you a message tonight.  Thanks.  Bart

not 50’s here yet but almost 40. There is no wrong crowd. From what I’ve experienced it’s all ages, all ethnicities, all various life experiences and none of it matters once you find your common ground.

the world as a whole would do well to put that more into practice instead of looking for the divides.

Very nice.  How well does your hearing assist work right there behind the rubber?

good question! I wondered how it would do in reality as well. It works perfectly! Maybe not so obvious is in extremely noisy situations you may need to turn your head to hear better (by noisy I mean right in front of a DJ booth) besides that though it worked flawless.

I didn’t use grommets either just the pressure from the seal and some foam on the inside and no fan vibes picked up.

The bigger surprise was the icomm mic picked up the bass vibrations in the helmet from the music and annoyingly clicked on and off (which in a way could be a positive I guess).

  3. Finally got everything comfortable enough and tested to do a few hours troop at the PeachTree Corners “light up the corners” run for kids and adults.

Had an absolute blast honestly, seeing people’s faces light up with excitement was a treasure. The fellow GA501st members were great to meet and troop with.

It was pleasant knowing I was comfortable enough in my kit to have gone even longer too.

I knew I wanted an as authentic suit as I could find. I purchased a complete custom build from RS Prop masters. I wanted to build one from scratch but I have some time restrictions and figured it was better to buy one. I would love to build one someday. I will be months (12 weeks) before I get it! Once it does then whats next

good kit and I understand the reasoning. You may find you have to adjust the fit to get it just right or even trim some things, make new or adjust the strapping. It should be close but don’t expect perfection and comfort right out of the box. That’s what I learned anyways.

Long long ago, Nikon had a really unique point and shoot with a rotating lens. I keep thinking how much fun it would be to hack one up and make it work in the electrobinocs.

Coolpix S10 if you're wanting to search for it.  It had a 10x optical zoom also.

Yesssssss! I used to rebuild night vision binocs for a few years as a side hobby so I’m not opposed to hacking into a camera
