  1. So I was wondering about that. If the straps are down that low on the bells you will see it wrapping around the bicep. Is that accurate? If it is I'll change it but the reference pictures I see you don't see any strapping from the bicep. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
  2. While waiting for my boots I'm fixing a few things that have been bugging me. The strapping connecting the bells needed some reworking and the padding in the bucket needed fixing. Tuesday can't come faster!! Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
  3. Just got word my boots are shipped and will be here Tuesday!!!!! https://www.imperialboots.com/product-category/footwear/shoes/ I can't wait to really finish this thing! I can see the finish line. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
  4. I know it's not real leather but I think it came out pretty good. I had some material and I decided to give it a try. I still plan on making one out of real leather but this will do for now. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  5. My 3D printed E-11 Blaster is coming along. Still really rough but I foresee lots of sanding in my future. Today marks the last day of my Star Wars themed staycation. I've gotten so much work done and I can't tell you how fortunate I am to have my wife Dawn who stayed home with me just so I can devote my time to my build. I'm so close to putting in for review I can taste it. Just waiting on my boots then I can check sizing and tweak things a bit and post some pics. There's still more to come but I wanted to thank all you wonderful people out there for the encouragement and guidance. You are all amazing and I thank you! I forsee many awesome troops in my future and I can't wait to join the ranks of the greatest organization I know of. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  6. I totally printed these instructions out a while back and didn't remember till earlier today!![emoji41] these are helping tremendously! Thank you! Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  7. Model building without instructions. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  8. Resizing the forearms and E-11 assembly today! Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  9. All things you pointed out are on the list. I agree with the forearms but, the biceps fit perfectly. Not sure if I can make any smaller. Maybe remove some more return edge? Will these things affect basic approval? I'm totally planning on fixing these things, just want to know where I stand now. Thank you so much for the help! Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  10. Since I'm so close to being done with my build and I really can't do anything till my boots get here, I decided to do a little work on a custom case for my armor. I know most of you use the huskey locking case but i had this in my garage for years. I repurposed it and it's now an imperial transport trunk. Looks official right!!?? I even have the proper amount of propaganda on it too!!! Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  11. Finishing touches on the bucket! Getting so close!!![emoji41][emoji16][emoji3] Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  12. Take 2 on the tube stripes. I'm much happier with this. I still have to clean them up a bit but at least I know my process works. On to the other side. I also found some time to put in the rivets on the ab and kidney plates. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  13. So this was a complete failure. This is what I get for thinking I can do these things. I'm done for today! Tomorrow is another day.[emoji35][emoji2959][emoji2961][emoji24] Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  14. Custom made belt! During this build I'm learning that things I thought might be challenging for me are challenging but doable. I also like the fact that i can say that I made that stuff myself. I hope you like it. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  15. On the fix list for tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up. I think I need to slow down a little. I'm starting to make stupid little mistakes. [emoji53] Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  16. Sorry, I'm going velcro, but screen accurate is what we're going for. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  17. So.... this is a perfect example of why it's important to have a build thread. I was very happy with my clips for the TD. After posting, you wonderful people pointed out my couple little mistakes. Which, looking back, you all were absolutely correct. So, after some wound licking and time spent not thinking about my failures. I made a new set. I think these are more accurate and I feel better about them. Keep me in line. I think is the moral of the story. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  18. Some adjustments needed and I'll be making my belt tomorrow but this was fun. I definitely need a connector in the taint. And some trimming of the kidney plate. BTW, my boots are on order. Pay no attention to the socks. [emoji1787] Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  19. Some custom sewing. I made a velcro belt to hold up the thighs. Adjustable and secure. Closing in on it! Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  20. So one of the most satisfying parts of the build. When you can peel one long bead of dried glue all the way. Slow and steady. This might help someone not used to E6000 glue. Use alot! More than you think you need. You want a real nice size bead to squeeze out the sides. This helps when its dried. It makes it easier to remove the excess. Hope this helps. 21. Sniper knee and amo belt. Now just gotta paint the rivets white. Just a side note. I muscled the sewing machine into submission! Looks like some strapping is in my future. Keep on keeping on! Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  22. You're absolutely right! This is the picture I went off of. I plan on fixing the clips at some point today. I might even just make new ones. We'll see. Thanks for the input! It's really appreciated. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  23. Thank you so much. It really means alot. Get ready for some rapid fire posts on this thread. I took the next week off of work to specifically work on my armor. A Star Wars staycation!
  24. So after some thinking of how to make stencils I decided to try something different. I printed these out from online in different percentages of size until I found the one that fit the best. I then taped them to the bucket and used a knife to lightly score a line where the lines should be. Then I removed the template and painted the lines with a very thin brush. I think it looks pretty good. Definitely liking my decision to hand paint. Now I just have to figure out how to do the blue. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  25. Thank you! I'm having a very good time! Now if I can just get the damn sewing machine to work right I'll be good.[emoji2957] Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
